As Gilas are already assured qualification to 2025 FIBA Asia Cup no need to go all out. As we are playing in Manila against Taiwan that is a must win game to appease home crowd. Line-up wise, I would be better if CTC make minor changes as not to alter chemistry. If I am him I will keep 10 players from November window and tap Balti as replacement of Kai. Then I would re-activate Malonzo in lieu of KQ who I think will not be available as he still be adjusting with his life in S.Korea…

So the crew would like these : Newsome, Thompson, Malonzo, Perez, Oftana, Ramos, Aguilar, Brownlee, Tamayo, Fajardo, Amos, Baltazar.

Keeping same intact 14 player crew will make wonders. Contingency if Brownlee get injured, Cone elevate Kouame as JBL’s replacement. I believe with that crew we should be OK in Saudi…

If we're going to keep the same lineup, maybe we could experiment with a lineup with JB or Carl at the 5 when AJ's not on the floor. Or find ways to minimize June Mar's involvement on defense whenever he's on the floor.​
 
I am pretty confident with whatever TC decides on his final team composition. Anyway we will be playing like home team in Saudi. Home crowd will definitely be rooting for us except if we are group with the Saudis…
 
I think now is an opportunity to start Carl instead of Junemar.

First game is against Taiwan and they play fast / shoot lots of 3s.

Really don’t trust Junemar’s ability to close out on shooters.

It looks like SMC just might drop Bennie Boatwright from being the next naturalized player for Gilas.

He's 32 years old. Still good. But still begs the question why him when somebody younger, taller and has proven to be better in Fiba is available?
 
the rosario call up is nonsensical. it is already proven that rosario isn't fiba material with his physical stature and skills. asean, yes but not against outside our region.
