I guess RHJ will be disallowed by TNT management to join Jordan for February window… RHJ needs rest… Jordan might pick Dar Tucker for that window…

Getting more playing time equating to getting better is not black and white. You have to take into account the quality of the team, league, coaches, etc. So many factors contributing to development of young and still improving players. For guys who are already at their peak and still getting benched, that's a different matter.
It's like looking at a HS/college team. Getting benched as a freshman/sophomore doesn't really mean the player will not excel/not improving (especially in a loaded team), but if you're a senior and still being benched, that's bad.
For guys like Tamayo, it will be good to have him play with Gilas soon to see how his trajectory is faring.
Wouldn’t make much of a difference I think. They’re still the overwhelming favorites to top their group.
KSA can challenge them but they have never beaten Jordan with Al-Dwairi and Tucker/RHJ.
Plus, Saudi is already qualified and may simply treat the qualifiers as tune up games.
Palestine… I’m amazed they still have a team given the situation.
Who do U think are the top college players in the Philippines that should be in the Gilas pool for the February window?
My list would be:
1. Kevin Quiambao
2. Mason Amos
3. Francis Lopez
4. CJ Cansino
5. Clint Escamis
6. Evan Nelle
Its looking like the PBA playoffs will play out well into the month of February so I doubt that Kume long hair will fully commit into sending an all PBA team. Heck I think their plan will be to name Jong as interim headcoach and then send a mix of pinoy imports and college players for the Feb window.
The 1st window qualifiers for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup is only about 7 weeks ago yet everything is still up in the air in so far as the composition of Gilas team for that window games is concerned. Everything is still uncertain kung sino ang ating mga players or kung sino ang magko coach sa Gilas.
What the hell are our SBP top officials are doing? Nagpapalaki yata ng kanilang mga b_yag sina Al Panlilio & Ricky Vargas!
This is incompetency at the highest level. When will these idiots start to get their acts? Kung mga 2 weeks nalang ang 1st window?
nothing new actually, SBP is notorious for cramming. They screwed up 7 yrs of preparation time for the WC, 7 weeks is just chum change for them

Heck still no coach either, this is business as usual and they're getting ready for excuses of course.
Yes, they have also schedule against Taiwan.. much stronger compare to HK… but maybe 3 week preparation and scouting reports vs Taiwan is OK already… we will use Hong Kong game for preparation vs Taiwan game… this is only applicable if we play 2 hard games in a window… but not these two, especially Hong Kong…
going by the second window preps of WCQ in 2022, it will mostly likely be another 2-week prep.
it’s only two games so they’re more or less going with the Asiad core + KBL / B.League boys
is JB32 suspended or can he play?
Starting 5
Scottie
Dwight
Brownlee
Malonzo
Junemar
Bench
Newsome
RJ Abarrientos
Kai
Tamayo
Oftana
Perez
BRP
Coach: Cone or Jong
Brownlee still can’t able to play… until now the release of his suspension still not yet announced… I don’t know the problem but I hope JB will be not in doghouse by FIBA and WADA…
That means either Ange or an ineligible player.
Mike Phillips?
Maybe because their opponent are not worth for a preparation… Sorry bro, Hong Kong doesn’t deserve for us to prepare 1 month against them… even other countries will not do that against a minnow team like Hong Kong…
I agree with U about Hong-Kong being an easy opponent, but what about Chinese Taipei/Taiwan? I don't think we have reason to just underestimate Chinese Taipei which is a rebuilding team. The team was impressive in last year's Jones Cup & in last year's Asian Games, it finished 4th behind Gilas, Jordan & mainland China.
