Because they scare to face Taiwan, the only way to guaranteed Japan can advance will need to put China Korea Taiwan in the same group.

Can you please elaborate the groupings made in this tournament I think taiwan is in trouble because you are grouped with korea??

If you lose in this tournament so the stankovic cup is the major tournament left for you??:D

Well it's just my prediction at moment, the host Japan hasn't divided the group yet.
Anyway we don't care about it, because we don't scare to play anyone and we won't lose it. China won't send team A to this tournament, therefore nevermind.
I believe stankovic cup will become Japan's major tournament, ha ha ha!

thanks for the reply bro but I pray for korea to not qualify:D:D:D:D

No,Most Chinese hope Taiwan can beat Japan, and I'm sure if taiwan qualified,it will be the second popular team in Tianjing.
Chinese common people are always friend to taiwanese

those who fail to qualify in this tournament would just have to try again in 2011, the qualifiers from the stankovic cup is already set.

In the first day Taipei's fate will be known..

It is tough for them they had to prepare for only 10 days(especially their korean coach) if they do not qualify expect a lackluster jones cup(the filipinos are the only crowd drawers) because their best players tien lei and chen hsin(not only in the court also their most popular players) may opt not to play. They can't win in booming threes here and there:(
And an interesting note the major audience of the sbl are girls.. :D

i don't think china need to play this tournament, they are already the host of the asia championship

no offense but the last time you sent a B-team in an international competition it got blown to bits by "lesser" teams.

Oh well, not this again, please don't answer, let bygones be bygones, and let's see what happens in FIBA-Asia 2009. Good luck to all the teams.

Last time we sent to the asia game is the B team without 3 top players who was selected to the A team. And the B team we had sent did not have the real C and PF only have 1 player have 210cm height (Zhang Kai).
I think the B team we sent this summer is much more better compared with the B team in 2007.

Really hope that China's B-team is better this time, they are the alpha dog in Asia; hence, they are ought to impose their dominance even w/out their star players..:)

it's so sad that we lost many good players this time due to the injury reason, like our star Ace player Chen Hsin-An (196cm 1980). we also lost our best PG Chen Chih-Chun(182cm 1977), he is our best assists player this season. The others player SG Yang Chin-Ming (188cm 1984) Ave 19 pts this season/ our MVP player this year G Chang Chin-Feng (183cm 1981) Ave 18 pts this season. Even he is on our national team roster, he still can't play this time. F Lin Chin Chieh (192cm 1982), another star player in Taiwan Ave 23.8 pts 8.8 rebs at play-off this season. 2times play-off MVP. One of our best Center Wu Tai Hao (202cm 1985), the people which i had state above will all not play this time, because they all got injury problem.
This is not our final 12 roster yet, we should come out a new final 12 men roster in next few days.
What a sad story for our NT, I can only wish the rest of our NT players must finish the job done this time.
