Great documentary. Gained a lot of respect for Jalen Rose after watching that.

BTW, it's not a part of the 30 for 30 series.

FYI...I just reuped the videos in case people came through and they were down....my bad

What were the references about Grant Hill being an Uncle Tom that I read about? I didn't see the documentary, so I'm just curious if anybody "read that" when they saw it...

Rose didn't single out Grant Hill as a "Uncle Tom" per se, but he was referring to the overall "type" of African-American player Duke recruited, which is perceived by many to be well-groomed, choir-boy, articulate, less "threatening" (in contrast to the stereotypical aggressive black folks from urban America) types that fit in well with Duke's elitist, hoity-toity college culture. Apparently there's been some controversy about his comments, but I think it's much-to-do about nothing, with much of the outrage probably being generated by the very ones who would laugh/support the racist hatemail Steve Fisher's guys got back then and who now have a race-sensitive consciousness so as long as black people are the ones sounded racist.

Actually, Rose admitted that much of his hatred for Duke's Grant Hill or Antonio Lang was driven out of jealously because they came from well-off, traditional nuclear families where as his upbringing envolved no father (despite his dad being a NBA player who made a decent income) and a mother who struggled to keep food on the table.
