Well, this is tough to predict for me. Obviously 40 minutes game. 2-0 for Panathinaikos in RS. I am pretty sure Lessort will play. Idk how much will that mean though...I think Panathinaikos has great defender in Grant to stop Baldwin/McCollum. If Lessort doesn't play or if he is at 50, 60% then both teams suck in the paint. Nunn and Sloukas need to step up and deliver. I think crucial battle for Panathinaikos will be Juancho vs Hayes. If Juancho can keep him on decent numbers then Panathinaikos has great chance. If Fener keeps Nunn on low shooting numbers they are in huge advantage.

The real threat that PAO needs to deal with is my boi Tarik Biberovic. Keeping Nunn low is a piece of cake for FB. F4 games are always on matchups and mismatches but we must not forget that FB is the far better team. The game will not be decided in the paint. The main point will be Sloukas performance since I know that Osman is gonna fail big time like always in decisive games. PAO is too predictable but FB is a true team and I also think that Jasikevicius is going to school Ataman. Ataman will use the injuries as an excuse as we all know.

Haha I love how confident you are. Same like you were last year. We shall see...

I deem Fener is stronger but Nunn, Sloukas and Ataman play/coach for Pana.

Fener 50%, Pana 50%.

We got Fener’s number this year in the regular season so I hope that this can continue in the F4. I can’t make predictions, the game will really depend on which Pao will show up at the game. If it’s the Pao of the playoffs then we’re in for a rough ride. If last year’s Pao shows up then we’ll have an awesome game that will be decided by a tiny margin.

Because of absolute hole we put ourselves in, in the Center position, we need another incredible game by Juancho, we need Gabriel to try to stay out of foul trouble, and we need Mitoglou to hit some shots to stretch the floor. I don’t think Fener has as many bodies to throw at Nunn so I’m expecting a better game from him than what we’ve seen. Sloukas is a big question mark this year. He’s been very meh, sometimes bad even, in big games. But you can never count him out.

I hope that Osman manages to carry this momentum to the F4, he really gave us something that we severely lacked in.

On the psychological side, I’m expecting Fener to be very ready. This seems to be their year and if you take into account that we defeated them last year, I’m expecting Saras to do a good job in preparing them mentally.

Pao is awful matchup for Fener from many reasons. That's why I think semi is like final for us, because we beated Oly twice already just like we lost twice to Pao. Saras should learn from Banchi how Nunn can be limited. We have players who can defend him from pick. If he starts with iso game I think Biberovic is the guy to defend him. Saras should forget slow guys like Guduric and Pierre. I mean Saras is known loser and this is big opportunity for him to change that. He has enough time to understand that Pao is Nunn, limiting him is path to the win. Efes did that and they almost succeeded

No one player can guard Nunn 1 on 1. Efes' effort was a team effort. Nunn would find 2 and even 3 at times players in front of him. This not only limited his shot visibility but also space to pass.

Once up on a time Pedoulakis found a way to stop Spanoulis. Ukic blocking his right dribble offering always the left lane where Gist or Lasme would wait for him. He wasnt faster, nor stronger nor more athletic than them and this gave PAO two championships. Spanoulis had his shots blocked numerous times which created a psycological problem for him. Not other team in Europe could emulate this defence.

Jasikevicius will do similair thing like efes did with Nunn push him to his weak hand and send smart double teams.

In Saras coaching weak and strong players hands is very very important. He non stop talks about that with his players.

Attention to detail is done to perfection. Thats why Jasikevicius teams dont lose no series vs anybody .When he can make adjustments from game to game and prepare team for those adjustments.

But final four its one game scenerio and any unpredictable, emotional thing can happen. Ataman in such emotional games feels like fish in water.

I believe this semifinal winner will win the euroleague.

Ataman said that lessort will probably play in the f4. Even 15 minutes against the weakest frontline of top8 teams is enough to make huge gap

When I said that Fener has players to defend him from pick what is that then doubling? But there is always possibility that players like him and Larkin avoid doubling by playing isos. You made a perfect example what could be idea in that case. Even Nunn has weak side, it's obvious now.

The problem with nunn was mainly his difficulty to finish easy 3s, even the ones he was wide open, for example yesterday he missed 4 in a row completely alone. He shot 24%, when his normalis between 40-45%. Its not that easy to happen again

i do agree that pao is one of the toughest matchups for fener, but i still think feners been playing better this year (against pao), even if they lost both games in the regular season. we are the more in form team and playing better overall, but the f4 is just one game. if nigel or tarık have an off night, or if nunn, sloukas, and cedi especially after how he played against efes shoot and pass better that day, it could change everything. thats why its hard to pick a favorite. but i honestly think whoever wins this game is gonna win the euroleague too

also pao looked pretty bad against efes. if nothing changes until the final4 and they keep playing like this, their chances of winning are super low. fener is a much better team than efes theyve got a stronger roster and a much better coach. efes might not have been able to stop cedi, but feners in a much better position to deal with him

Efes blocked 19 shots through their C's (Poirier 11 and Uturu 8). Nunn was blocked 6 times (7 times only in all Regular Season!!!!) which created a psychological disadvantage as he would end up finishing in an un-natural way close to the basket forcing missed lay ups and or turnovers. Nunn averaged 3.4 errors per game whilst he averaged (2.8) during regular season.

What I am saying Fener doesnt have the bigs to bully Nunn the way Efes did. You can drive him right side to Melli and Sanli but defensively and athletically they are NOT Poirier or Uturu.Far from it. For traps to work you need athletic bigs just like the previous case study with Spanoulis vs Gist/ Lasme. Melli, Sanli and Birch can't block shit.

fener usually plays small ball. we probably wont see sanli and melli much on the floor.

Melli can play really hard defense and FB doesnt need such bigs since there are wings who can defend anything. Pierre, Nigel Hayes even Colson with his huge wing span can here be a factor. Nunn is neither very fast nor is he a good passer. Its the easiest thing in the world to slow him down you have to prevent him from driving left thats all. The question is will Sloukas step up. Its pretty much clear that on the other side Juancho and Osman are the only capable defender

As Fener fan I am satisfied with this season. We were serious contender despite many injuries(except wilbeclown one), despite the worst management in EL, we have our chances in F4. While all teams fight to keep players far from the NBA, our GM is ready to let Hayes and Tarik to go, despite they don't have NBA options. This is maybe their last F4

Yes ofcourse its good season because coach you clearly dislike for no reason is doing damm good job and survived all those injuries and was 1 win away from winning euroleague regular season and dominating in Turkey league.

It's not that I dislike him, but there is very good reason I didn't like the way he started this season. Yes, he was one game from winning regular season which is the most unimportant thing in the world if you are 1st 2nd or 3rd. What is important is if he is finaly capable to beat Ataman or not in F4. He lost two times already, 3rd time would be too much and couldn't be called coincidence
