Excel Sheet Basketball World Cup

Hi All,

I need someone to help me understand how the ranking of the groups works as I want to try to create an excel sheet for the world cup.
if anyone can help me I will be very thankful.
I am no expert in Excel, but I know the basics and it should be straight forward as long as I know how standings in the group works.

Actually, this is a very interesting question, which I have also been unable to answer so far

It requires two sheets and 8, I believe, columns for the first sheet

I am pretty sure that the team names should be included in the first two columns(e.g. Serbia in column 1, Argentina in column 2, the final score (85-78) in the third, the correct score per team in the following two (85 in c.4, 78 in c.5, both to be added via a type which deducts the figures from column 3), margin and total points in the 6th column (=c.4-c.5) and the winning or losing sign in the last two columns (on a "1" or "2" for loss/win, depending on the sign before the number of column 6)

However, what I cannot be sure of is how the teams are being ranked in the second sheet, when all the results are being transfered. I can try to check it and let you know, but I am not definite I can make it work

hi Wardjdim, and thanks for your reply, actually this is exactly what I was asking about, yeah we are both not sure about the same thing, if you can get more info so we can work on it that will be wonderful..

The only trouble is that it is in spanish...., but you can easily change the names of the countries
