Ataman told the execs that he wants Grigonis to stay.
hopefully he declines

How can you still be hating our most consistent player? Doesn’t that contradict the fact that you believe that Ataman knows best?
our most consistent player is by far lessort and after him grant. the cyclist still remains just a very good shooter that depends on the team creating his shots and has improved his non existent defence. dorsey offers exactly the same things, plus his greek passport that allows us to get one more foreigner. with trashonis in the roster we have to make a roster with 8 foreigners, which means one of them will be out of the roster in greece and one more will have to be cut in every game.
If you are one of those saying that dont care about greek league, then switch teams and support those who raise banners for finishing 2nd. PANATHINAIKOS has become the giant it is, the best team in europe in the half century, because of the titles and greek league is one of the major ones. so we have to make the strongest available roster for greek league plus 7 top tier foreigners and trashonis is definetely not of them
Brother, you’re tilting at windmills with your second paragraph, I don’t know what to tell you.
You didn’t answer my question though. Since you’ve been adamant that Ataman is the best coach in Europe, shouldn’t you trust him to know better what to do to align the team roster with the goals they’ve set for themselves?
Im not the one saying ataman is the best coach in euroleague. His results say so. He is by far the best coach of this decade in euroleague.
Maybe it's been written here before but Efes seems to be targeting Xavi Pascual. Our Efes friends here can finally chill if that's the case.
Efes tried to sign him last year too, but there was an unbridgeable gap between the salary expectations. Maybe both sides are closer now in terms of financials, but I suspect Pascual is the most probable candidate for Barcelona this summer.
I don't think Barcelona can offer him more money and on the plus side, maybe he can get some freedom to rebuild in Efes (not sure what's the situation with expiring contracts). But sure maybe he wants to go back to Spain to a familiar place.
I hope so. I dont want him in Istanbul.
Really? Why is that? I consider him a really good coach.
I would like to have Pascual at Efes, but I assumed Barca would not continue with Grimau, and after several years of disappointment, would pursue Pascual as a proven solution. We'll see.I don't think Barcelona can offer him more money and on the plus side, maybe he can get some freedom to rebuild in Efes (not sure what's the situation with expiring contracts). Jones, Bryant, Thompson, Osmani under contract for another year.
I can't imagine any rebuilding that includes Jones
Just like we still have Kokoskov's shadow in Fener, he will be Can's signature over Efes'a roster until contract expire
I doubt it. Larkin will ask for at least Thompson's salary ($2.3m/year), but he's not playing at that level. Compared to performance, both of them are overpaid. Plus, Larkin is a bit of a head case. We had a roster and a coach that could handle his ups and downs, but those days are gone.PGs: Larkin and DT should be safe.

Regardless, someone will pay him the money. I hope it won't be Efes.
I saw some rumors about Evans moving to Olympiakos. Now, that's a player we should have chased.
PAO has made a 2 year contract offer to Kendrick Nunn to continue with improved financial terms.
