There are rumors that Erdem Can is stepping down after Real Madrid game, and Itoudis is lined up to take the job. Sounds too convenient a scenario, but it's not unbelievable.

I think Itoudis is a great fit for Efes. He will use full potential of Larkin&Thompson and under him as a coach Clyburn played the best.

He would demand at least five players for the front court. He always coached teams with more money that he could handle. PAO, CSKA and it doesnt seem that Tuncer Ozilhan is ready to pay rn. He always played with a very strong front court and he always targets mismatches. He cant be successful with this Efes roster

I actually never thought CSKA had the strongest front court. It was okay but not something spectacular. Maybe because I am not huge fan of Hines:p
Anyway, I would love to see him there. If he flops he will show once again that he is overrated. But I think he goes to Barca or Milano maybe.

Would be a better fit. Not a big fan of Itoudis.

I won't deny that Trinchieri is a good coach, but is he better than Maskvyti??? The problem of Žalgiris was not the coach, but the mass Iinjuries and illnesses of the players that ruined the whole game.
If someone no needs a Grigonis , who can play the ball (he started his career as play maker), a good shooter, a good defender who can decide the outcome of the match alone, then I think Žalgiris could give anything for her.
Brazdeikis is not really needed after Olimpiakos' injury, and Žalgiris needs this type of player very much because he never found a replacement.

Yes, Butkevicius injury was the last straw that ruined everything. Now we have two clowns Sumner and Hollins in place of Brazdeikis and Butkevicius. Very painful to watch.

In fact CSKA never had dominant frontcourt before Milutinov. I remember two seasons with Hines as center and 4 guards around

Didn't hear that until now, but I wrote last night in other topic as one of the solutions.

It's realy weird that with Larkin, Thompson and Clyburn you hold 15th place 3 wins away from playin spot

If Efes keeps Can they are bigger fools then him

Maksvyitis is free too..

Long before Milutinov they had dominant front court players in Kirilenko and Krstic and had to win that season, but that ending in the final against Oly happened.

Long ago yes but as I remember there wasn't Itoudis ? Ivkovic or Messina maybe

Ataman and even Can(he brought Thomson and Oturu tbh) made ideal roster for Itoudis

Last night showed what I am talking about the whole season, efes is top4 roster on the paper, you have at least 4 players who were big part in 2 EL titles, add to that Thompson and Clyburn who are elite players, still they are hard bottom in standings.

If it's only when Itoudis coached, then it was his first season there when Kirilenko returned because of NBA lockout. He joined Kaun and Hines.

SDNA reports that Can might be fired and Itoudis is the 1st option to replace him
