Since he said him and Ataman were in talks with those 2 players I would say it could and should be Micic. IMO he is back next season in the Europe 100%. I also thought Vezenkov at the 1st moment but then I realised Pao has Juancho who has a contract for next season and Mitoglou who plays like prime Dirk so it's pointless. Even more with everything suggesting that Hezonja is more or less done deal. So I would say Tavares. He is free agent next summer and his worth is 3M euros easily.
 
Giannakopoulos said today that together with ataman there have been talks with 2 players for this summer whose salary is more than 3m each and that oly fans know them both good . We know that the one is Tavares. The other one is either vezenkov or mimic if I had to guess. He said that next year's roster will be better than 2009 (diamantidis, saras,Nicholas, spanoulis, fotsis, tsartsaris, batista, pekovic)

I find it impossible for Vezenkov to come to Panathinaikos. Given past rumours (I think Pao approached Tavares this summer) and current situation (Micic getting zero minutes) those two make a pretty good guess. There is no way Hezonja is a 3m player (but he might still be a target). I hope we make at most 3 transfers next summer. Ideally just two.

I cannot imagine a better roster in 2023 than 2009. It's simply impossible, considering the available pool of players for the EL.

But a roster might be above everyone else to the same degree. And that necessarily means adding Tavares.
 
Oh boy, Dimitris must really trust Ataman. I mean if he wins the EL with PAO too he is one of the best for sure.

You are correct (as usual). There are no guards like Diamantidis, Spanoulis, Saras now anywhere in Europe. There is no Pekovic. There is absolutely no way to compare any team to the one from 2009.

True. I still don't consider Ataman a great coach and I'm failing to see his coaching during preparation or game time but if he manages to win EL with Pao within 3 years then he will rise close to the top for me solely based on his results. Because probably I won't be seeing more stuff than I do now so I'll just start doubting my understanding of the sport :p

hahahaha maybe its more important to build the roster than have an impact within the game. Ataman likes easy game plans but his offense flows always. He is one of the best offensive coaches in Europe.

If PAO gets a Fener player who is Papagiannis and not Dorsey, this will be the sign that DPG blindly trusts Ataman. :p​​​​​​

One radio producer in greece said that bogdan bogdanovic is one of the players that we are trying to sign next season. He has 17m/year contract in the nba. Mirotic had one similar but he left the nba

If Bogdan return to Europe it will be Partizan(his roots and Obra factor). Pao is rich club with next year probably the top3 budget, but Serbian government will always pay more money then any club,if they want some player. Like they did with Shabazz

He’s coming to join Mirotic/Senghelia and Svi. At least according to the well informed journalists that happen to be on the payroll of their junkie owner.
