We are talking about a team which released Poythress because he earned too much.
Of course there are better solutions but with the budget available Rivero is the best or one of the best players you can sign. Real centers cost a lot and this property doesn't spend, especially after having sold all the tickets for the whole season.

So why do you think I am very critical of team management for not investing much? The management said that, supposedly, the problem with Poythress was lack of compatibility with Kattash's system. Poythress agreed to a cut, but was released nevertheless. And then they bring someone which is equally, if not more, incompatible.
As for better solutions? Maccabi should have united Spanish national team center and power forward with team point guard and we would be talking about F4. Just 3-4 millions of euro. Not easy, but Maccabi owners have to understand that times changed and we can't survive with peanuts and glass beads. What was the point extending one of the best EL back courts while not strengthening weak points?
Oh, and don't get me wrong. Webb is good signing (Shane Larkin and Donatas Urbonas think so too). Cleveland is arguably better than Angola, and Tamir Blastt is better than Ziv, and will provide so much needed rest to Lorenzo. We just needed to add to this good 4/5... AND we bring f...ing Rivero....

The same Noah Vonleh who made like 2 3 pt shots in the last 5 years? The guy who was 15 pts guy in the Shanghai Sharks? He would average 2.3 pts per game with his offensive skill in the Euroleague. Rivero ain't Anthony Davis, but he is damn better in the EL than Vonleh.

Well, I wanted both Hernangomez brothers in Maccabi, but that is impossible with current owners. Being realistic, I personally wanted Poythress to stay, and Kattash to change a bit his ways. Or get Kaminsky, for a change. I am not big fan of Vonleh either, however I disagree that he would be worse than Rivera. Damn, even Martin would be better than Rivera, who is a fc-ing hole in defence.
In beginning of summer I was entertained by idea getting Kaboklo and Kobolka together

I am the last man on earth that will disagree. But as you have noticed every time D.Federman is interviewed he always cries about the money the others can spend because they are supported by soccer teams, because they have money to throw away and blablabla.
How much I hate this family.
By the way, me but also the admin himself want to know how they managed to oust Raanan Katz from Maccabi's property.
A very rich man (one of the owners of Miami Heat) who still today when interviewed says that he would retake the team if permitted to do so.

Agree with every word. Federmans and Rekanati's should be out, otherwise team will be new Alba very soon. We wasting such an opportunity, very short time window (next summer there will be a long queue with big fat buyouts ready for Lorenzo and Wade)... Makes me mad.
There is a lot of dirt in there as well. Everybody knows why Nicola stayed in Maccabi that long.
Hopefully tomorrow or later this week mykhailiuk willbe announced making the useless lithuanian cyclist even more useless. But since we dont care about money, i hope we dont release him and punish him for not caring about the team tge whole season. We should not release him until he brings back at least the money we gave to csska. We can keep him,pay him to cycle but let him out of action for 1 year and possibly ruining his career frrom now on. He didnt care about hurting PANATHINAIKOS, so we should not care about his career as well.

Having worked previously as a carpenter apprentice for 4 years in my pre-university years, I am offended!Τhe only reason I asked is because in greek we use a similar expression. Not "carpenter" really, more like "lumberjack" but still, a person that deals with wood on a professional basisSo I was just curious about the expression used.
We also have a similar expression with the same meaning, sometimes carpenter, sometimes just lumber ("kalas").

Today at 2pm Athens time DPG is invited for an interview at SDNA’s live show. You can find it on YouTube. It’s in Greek (obviously) so unless you know the language or have a way to translate there is little value to you. Hopefully he’ll say some interesting things that I can report here.
