Did anyone comment on Dunston signing for Virtus?
It was known that Virtus had to reduce their wage bill to comply with Euroleague rules, but given the savings already made it appears that they are now going beyond that.

Is it true that Hapoel Tel Aviv tried to sign Lundberg?

Also, Cory Higgins linked with Zvezda...

Zanetti, the Italian Federman, very high ticket prices and save money where possible. No surprise at all. Dunston worst signing of the season.

Lundberg considers himself an El player I believe, perhaps they tried but there was no hope.

Can anyone explain why does Virtus reducing their budget so much? Rich owner, new arena, wanted to play EL every season and it's not like roster from the last season was 50M. Dunston is done and I don't understand that signing at all. Bayern is doing basically nothing. Huge expectations with Laso coming but for now, big nothing.
Milano is not changing a lot which is strange for them, but I like it because in the last third of the season they finally found the chemistry. Obviously, Napier's absence will be big. A lot of teams didn't change more than few players. Pao and Zvezda changed literally whole team, especially Pao. Curious to see who will Partizan sign at PG and C. I don't see LeDay at 5. If they bring really nice PG I could see them in TOP4. The team I think will be biggest underachiever compared to last season is Baskonia even tho they weren't in the PO, but they were really close and playing really good. Replacements for players that have left are...hm, let say not good enough, at least for me. Also Barca. And the team I think will be surprise is Valencia. Finally they got rid of Van Rossom, Dubljevic is slower than my grandma...Ojeleye is nice, Robertson was good in Obradoiro, also Toure at Tofas incredible. He is like European Capela. If Davies picks his form from Zalgiris/Barca and they will sign probably Matt Thomas with one more big guy...they will be pretty solid.

Just answered.

This owner has already possessed Bologna soccer so everyone knows what to expect.

Bayern indeed is another disappointment, Francisco is an undersized pg without a great 3pt shot. Having watched him this is another signing I don't understand.

But they were spending big on salaries for the past few seasons. This is quite a dramatic reduction.

Edgar: I wouldn’t say Bayern is a disappointment. Sure, they are what we expected when they signed Laso but I think they have a decent team with enough players from last year. Germans are much different than Balkan people in terms of what to expect from their team and how to express it so I can see them having a chill 5 year plan and Laso having all the serenity in the world to manage it.

If Mirotic indeed ends up in Partizan, Obradovic is going to play a lot of small ball with Leday at 5, and with all 5 out lineup. Partizan is going to have a lot of possessions and I would bet right now that they will be the best scoring team in the league, especially if they bring a capable point guard. There will be some serious shooting potential for Euroleague standards. Obradovic easily adjusts to new trends in basketball, Partizan will play NBA style basketball judging from the profiles of players they have been bringing the last two years. It's a shame that Exum left because with him Partizan would be something else this season.

Sylvain Francisco to Bayern. Solid and quick player. Still no "big signing" though for FCB.

zvezda just wasting money, dont see whats the point of players like higgins, to old, far from his best days, basically just paying for the name..
and we already have more then enough veterans.. teo 36, hanga 34, dont even calculate lazic 34, kuzmic 33..
i mean he is not done deal, they need to check his physical status, but it sounds like one more signing from covic, not dusko..

Lazic and Kuzmic? They will not be in 12.

I expect Efes will retire his jersey, too. He was the anchor that kept that flailing team afloat first, then helped it thrive.

Surprised at the move, though. I guess spending the semi-retirement in Italy is not a bad idea. Hope he enjoys it.

i said, wont even calculate them.. if higgins come, it would be the oldest guard lineup in history.. almost like for amateur veteran league..
shabazz 32, teo 36, higgins 34, hanga 34

Zvezda look overstocked at PG. And I'm still wondering how Teodosic will deal with Ivanovic's trainings.

I don't see the point of bringing Laso with the roster like this. Francisco will struggle a lot, Radoncic is not EL level, Booker is meh...I like Edwards because I do think Laso will give him serious freedom. The players from the last season are more EC level than EL, except Lucic, Babb and maybe Rubit. Especially German players. But we shall see. I love Laso so hopefully he will make some wonders.

Andrea Calzoni on Twitter says that Mirotic will not play for Partizan and is very close to Panathinaikos. I have no idea how credible this guy is. Generally I wouldn't post speculation (apologies if you think it's unacceptable, I won't do it again) but it's been a dry couple of days :p

If this turns out to be true I will be pissed. Mirotic said he doesn't want to come and now he would? PAO should just thank him and point him the way to some other club. Also, Shengelia is much better defender and not that worse in the attack than him.

I agree. This whole Mirotic drama situation has gone on for way too long.

I was surprised too. But you couldn't ask for a better character or role model to the other players. And he will be a huge help particularly for their other bigs.
