why was my post deleted? i was write it like 4 hours ago..

anyway, i was tell how last few days was pretty chaotic for zvezda,,
it was looks like that covic(president) was signing one side of players and dusko was signng other side..
a lot of compensation, and i dont like it tbh..
dusko didnt want teo, but they talk and should find some role for him..
anyway in last 5 days, 6 players(hanga, tobey, bolmboy, giedtaritis, napier, dos santos) and 2 more is expected to sign, one guard(most likely ntkilina) and toko should be done deal..
guard should be announced first, and toko after partizan announce mirotic..

from all this new players, only like napier(since it couldnt be campazzo) and giedraitis.. dos santos could be interesting, but when u u already have teo and napier, i wouldnt sign him....
but as i said, a lot of compensation...

so far, it looks like this

Yay! We’re back!

I don’t remember what happened since we were last online but Pao got Kyle Guy from Badalona. This guy has the potential to be one of three things: 1. An absolute fan favorite 2. Our own Jaycee Carroll 3. Jimmer Freddette. If it’s 1 or 2 I’ll be super excited about this move. Im a little bit concerned about his size but for now we’ll just have to wait and see.

Partizan is continuing to build a very solid team. It is rumored that Mirotic is close to agreeing with them and it makes me wonder how they will fit Ledey and Miro, paying a lot of money in one shared position.

CZ is clearly the winner of the transfer market until now. They have been making crazy moves left, right, and center. It’s really nice to see Serbian teas build contenders, we had missed that in the EL imo.

Monaco made a couple of very solid moves that put them in F4 trajectory again.

What else?
pao`s budget is nothing in comparison with partizan lol
they give 5,5m only for pf position.. leday 2m and mirotic 3,5m
they was also contacted campazzo, but he was rejected them .. they are in some talks with nick the brick, but they lurking much better player.. they also look for one more g/f (maybe higgins) and start some talks with gillespie from bayern..

for now it looks like this

I don't know what is true about both teams' budget, however Partizan managed to keep Punter and is about to sign (as it seems) Mirotic, both PAO's targets. Also, losing Ponitka and getting Papapetrou instead (even if I'm happy that Papapetrou is back) is also in Partizan's favour. At least, we managed to sign Lessort. In other words, Zeljko - dpg: 3-1

Partizan is surely the better team. PAO should be targeting the POs

Maybe I’m being influenced that that announce so many players so quickly haha. But I think CZ has a lot of potential especially if Napier stays healthy.

I really like Ponitka and he is an upgrade from Papapetrou imo. I trust Zeliko to take this team further this year.

Barcelona is truly baffling. I’m honestly praying for their demise because of all the “wtf?” moments hey have given me this summer.

I have mixed feelings about Papagiannis. But I do think that it was time for a change for both parties. My hope is that we’ll get a scoring/shooting PF and a an elite rim protector at C. Our team seems like it will be a lot of fun but I’m a bit worried about our defense.

Definitely agree. I can see Panathinaikos scoring 100 points and opponents 105. But Ataman is offensive minded coach so it should be okay. Schedule is great. 1st 10 games, 7 are at OAKA and if we start good then I am optimistic. But very curious about these 4 other signings we are waiting. Hopefully some bomb from the NBA will come.

I think that if CZ could sign Jokić and Murray, that wouldn't be enough for AmonRa to be satisfied. :)

It seems that notwithstanding Walkup's greek passport Olympiakos could sign 9 foreigners. Absolutely crazy.

It seems Zvezda this season will have a top budget. Their roster is really good and it has high salaries there.

Baskonia roster until now:

XXX, Mannion, Miller Mcintyre
Howard, Marinkovic
Rogkavopoulos, Sedekerskis, Raieste
Costello, Moneke?
Kotsar, Khalifa Diop
Coach: Penarroya

It seems the next deal will be Chima Moneke, it's almost done. And about the PG they want an american player, the favorite is Colbey Ross but he played great in the summer league, so let's see.

Hi AmonRa. No posts were deleted. sorry if it was the forum acting up again.
i was post comment here and on another topic, but after i was return, couldn't open forum and it was showing massage that i dont have permission to open forum..
after some time, i could log in, but messages has disappeared.. it must be some bug..

anyway, toko was have personal agreement with dusko, but zvezda cant cover complete his salary(1,7m), asking from virtus to pay some part.. so pao is now main candidate for him..

also, bayern so for, pretty not impresive signings.. bolmaro official.. radoncic also should be sign for them..

Apparently Shengelia and PAO are in concrete talks. I would love to see him in PAO. He had bad season in Virtus, but whole team had. Also was injured part of the season. Scariolo used him really weird and had as always 10 players per 20 min on the court as almost every Spanish coach do and he couldn't put big numbers. He is so strong for PF, very good defender...and his shooting % aren't bad at all even tho he is considered not good shooter. But when you look PAO backcourt you don't need big guys who are launching 3pt shot by 3pt shot...so it would be for me great transfer.

It would be incredible if somehow we got Toko from the Baskonia years.

Zvevda needs to leave a couple of players for the rest of us :p

It's known that even the weakest state is more powerful the the strongest private owner

I am not saying that Serbia is weak state, just both clubs get money from the state and from casino sponsors connected with state. that's copy paste what CSKA did for years

We should get used to it and next couple of years they will rule competition, like Greek clubs in the distant past and some Turkish clubs in the near past

This is not false but Atamans system needs a big who can stretch the floor and therefore a shooting big needs to be signed otherwise things can get troublesome.

I was joking I didn't mean to seem annoyed or anything. I hope that at some point in the future there will be some form of financial equality in the Euroleague but until then...

The thing about private owners though is that's it's their choice to lose money. I think that for the most part basketball in Europe is not a profitable business. So why would the Serbian state choose to invest like that when it gets nothing in return? The production of good Serbian players hasn't been halted as far as I know, so what do they have to earn?
