Ok the Pao teams of 2005 and 2023 performed the same according to you. My guy, your way of thinking is wild.
It has foundation and logic behind it but one thing is more important than titles and this is consistency

Wanting to succeed is great. Everyone competes to win, no one plays to lose.
But you can't win all the time and how you deal with those moments is very important. If you deal with losing a final, the same way as you deal with finishing second to last, then you're just wrong.
Mirotic has agreed with PANATHINAIKOS.
So, is it done deal or no? How sure is it?
If you mean greek championship, ok. But if we just win greek cup, we should reach at least top-8 in Euroleague as well, so that Ataman can be considered successful.

Of course, final 8 with this budget is mandatory.
Although that would be amazing, we've seen time and time again that teams are built, not bought. This Pao team will be 95% new. Chemistry is super important. People write off Oly because they lost 2 players but you will see how they will again be in the top 4 teams based on their plan and chemistry.
For our first year I just want to see normal basketball, normal coach decisions, players that put effort. I want to see a decent fight for a playoffs spot. If we miss it for minor details I can find it understandable. It's ok. New team.
But for the second year, conditioned on the fact that the team is now 95% the same, I will have increased expectations. 4-5-6 place shouldn't be out of reach. I will judge the team at the end of the second year, not before they play a single game just based on the budget.
Building a team needs patience. Especially from DPG.
replacing facu and vildoza with 37 years old teo.. seems legit
i mean, 600k for him isnt much, but if its known, 2nd pg wont be better then teo, then this is ridiculous
ponitka also close to zvezda, another scrap from pao..![]()

This Madar move to Fener is so weird for both sides. He won't have there more playing time than in Partizan where he got used to surroundings, players and most imporatantly coach. And is Fener anything stronger with him? Calathes is gone probably now and I still think Nick gives more than him. Misko probably got in his head and convinced him. Obradovic really can't catch a break with Misko![]()
FB doesnt make sense anymore.
The main FB roster looks to be:
(Pangos/Neto/???) - Madar
Dorsey - Wilbekin
Pierre - Guduric
Hayes - Sestina
Motley - S. Şanlı - ???
Calathes will most likely leave, and Bjelica was a walking dead last year so probably out.
The roster looks even weaker than before.
Calathes is too expensive. Madar move makes sense if we can get rid of Calathes and get another first PG, and Madar is his backup.
I hear the names of Raul Neto and Pangos. I don't know how Neto is currently, and Pangos is also a question mark with injury.
Regardless of the PG situation, I have the feeling that we might regret letting C. Edwards walk... We have Wilbekin and Dorsey but Edwards still has a lot of upside.
