European Competitions 2023/24 - Signings & Rumours

so far we have only heard about guards for panathinaikos and just rumours about lessort and leday for the frontcourt.
i learned though we are trying to get juancho hernangomez as the starting PF

I was suspicious when no big team was interested in Bacon despite his obvious talent but now it’s clear as day. Great player, terrible professionalism. From what’s been reported it seems like the bullshit has been going on for months and the fact that we didn’t terminate him immediately show how much we’ve shrunk as an organization. God please let Ataman be our lord and savior, I can’t take this anymore.

According to Sport5 today, Maccabi management decided to extend Kattash contract, independent on winning Israeli championship.

Laso is about to sign to Bayern, Trinkieri is said to be close to sign to Virtus and Scariolo to Real. So, who is left for Efes?? Mateo??

Whoever come will be better then Ataman. For Efes it's enough to keep Larkin(cos everything they made is tnx to him) , rest of the roster will make new coach. BTW Clyburn will be there for sure

PANATHINAIKOS

Hezonja for SF
Juancho Hernangomez for PF

DPG has said in one of his instagram lives that an offer has been made for the spanish (without mentioning his name, but according to my sources its him). About hezonja all we know is that he is not so sure for real for the next season,if he leaves, probably we will make a move

darius thompson + a good pf will be enough for fener.
as i know papagiannis will join but dont think that he is necessary.

thompson - calathes
dorsey - wilbekin
pierre - guduric
hayes - xxx
motley - papa - jekiri

that one with a decent backup pf will be the best roster by far next year in euroleague…

Strange, but this time I agree

I wrote about Thompson 5 months ago, still underated player for his quality

Not sure about 5 months ago, but he finished the season ranked 7th in PIR rating, so not sure how such a player can be considered "underrated".

papagiannis is close to extending with panathinaikos for 3 years. the possibility he doesnt stay is finding a contract on the nba, however his recent change of agent office indicates thats he might not consider nba as an option right now cause his previous agents were trying to get him to milwaukee. the rumours about fener are just rumours cause his new agents are also agents for itoudis, jekiri and hayes

panathinaikos will chase darius thompson if we dont get campazzo. his release clause is 500K. problems with other teams having bigger budgets than panathinaikos the previous seasons wont be a factor this season cause our budget will also be big, so we can match or even overmatch any offer for players we are interested. for example the offer for campazzo is 2,5m/year,much bigger than real's plus the fact that there is a 2 million clause he owes to real madrid when he left for denver. that amount of money real wants to save and that makes their offer much smaller than ours. of course real is still favourites to sign him, but the money he will get if he accepts our offer is much more than real's

In that moment he was underated, I know what I am talking about:cool:

papagiannis rumors didnt sound logical to me since the beginning. we have motley and jekiri already, papa would be waste of money.

it seems he watched the last TBL game of Efes, which strongly indicates they have already agreed.

There are already rumors about him bringing Caloiaro from Galatasaray, which would be a bad move IMHO. He's just too mediocre.

I'd be more excited with a different coach, a new and upcoming one (Alimpijevic, Mumbru, even Erdem Can, etc etc.), but I guess Efes is too conservative.

Agree with all your words. Sarıca and Sfair was the worst canditades of all the names. Laso, Pascual, Trinchieri, Alimpijevic, Can... all better choices. God help us next season, poor Efes.

Guys, it doesn't matter who is Efes coach as long as Larkin is there

If Ataman could, anybody could do just better

When Larkin leave then you will need top coach to start new cycle

Micic was Euroleague MVP 2021 and Euroleague F4 MVP 2021 and 2022, though. He has been as important to Efes as Larkin.
