European Competitions 2023/24 - Signings & Rumours

I recall some statements of Fener fans about special "welcome" towards Sloukas, due to his reaction during the play-offs. However, I'm waiting for them to roll out the red carpet for him in case he returns :D
Fener fans have a long history of making enemies and then embracing them.

About Sloukas, to be reminded that he won't play the world championship, he will rest in order to be ready for the Euroleague.

Lorenzo Brown took the same decision. Excellent news for Maccabi.

Μost likely Giannis won't play either. We are in major trouble but it's offtopic :p

Maccabi, problems with Angola, he didn't pass the medical tests. He will be furthermore tested but his signing is already considered at risk.

I hope next news will be Sloukas to Partizan

It would be realy disgusting if Itoudis brings him after all

There is a fact that we maybe lost the title because his shoot. My opinion is that Fener could beat both Monaco and Real after that in F4.. but never mind. That is sport

Problem is his behavior after that and he won't get red carpet from me, I don't want him in Fener

BTW what to expect from 33y old guy who wants bigger role then he used to have in previous team. I couldn't wait him to leave when he was younger and now just could imagine grandpa with 30+ minutes on the court

Did Sloukas do something other than run to the locker room after his shot? Am I missing something?

I guess they found it disrespectful. They expected a more like Nedovic' reaction after his 3-point shot in Stark arena.

FB will take him with kissing hands if they can get him of course. They will probably overpay him too but Sloukas is a good professional, a gym rat and a duracell bunny.

Unless we believe that we can find a better option I would be really excited if Pao made a move for Sloukas. He is the best greek player not named Giannis and a proven elite EL player.

This move would be terribly difficult and you need humongous balls to do it (like Spanoulis) and I would completely understand if Sloukas declined for non-basketball reasons.

Spanoulis left Panathinaikos for Olympiacos when he was 28 years old. Now, Sloukas is 33 years old and he is searching for a team to end his career. It would be quite strange if he chose PAO.
By the way, Spanoulis wanted to be the star of the team and this could not happen being in the same team with Diamantidis. :p

Running in front of fans he should know better, they are not fanatics and there wasn't any danger of violence. He could do like Tonia said, just respect that's all, he is professional and Fener fans aren't that stupid they understand his job. After all he came to Fener from Oly and his hart probably belongs there, but a little bit should be here too.

I would forgive him that gesture if his basketball quality justifies that. But as we all know he is at the end of the career and it's too much from him to expect bigger role at this age. This is 3rd time he changes the club with the same wish. He left Oly expecting from Zeljko to give him bigger role. He was backup for Dixon most of the time. Then he left Fener from the same reason and still playing as backup(or at least coming from the bench)

What he expects now I realy don't understand, but considering our situation everything is possible

I perfectly understand you because my basket memory is still quite decent and I remember that his last season to Fener was judged quite negatively by some basket fans including me. And the reason was that he tried to imitate Michael Jordan's protagonism without having his skills. Too many shots taken, egoistic behaviour.

Leave him go to Partizan if they want him. My idea is that he has already reached some kind of agreement, to be clarified with who.

Is it true that Panathinaikos is offering Sloukas 8 millions for 3 years??? I can't believe it!
