Nah man, Sloukas made 1.8 last year and Oly’s offer is at 1.5 I think. But as mentioned by other posters the issue is with his usage as a player. Sloukas wants to play with the “good” unit. We’ll see how that will work. I can’t see Mpartzokas backing down. He (Coach B) has proven that the way he works, works.

It will be very difficult to replace a player like Sloukas (compounded by the fact that he is Greek) but imo the team and the planning needs to be above players (same thing I was saying about us and Punter).

Actually SPM never share the numbers if it's not clear... That's why i shared. You guys are more in, i respect. Hoping the best for Sloukas and Oly.

Thompson's decision is the most interesting one for me; NBA, Efes, Milan or Pao. Hope he ends in Efes, let's wait and see.

Lets hope the next one leaving PANATHINIAKOS will be the lithuanian lans armstrong. Grigonis run more kms on the bicycle behind our bench than he actually did in court. One of the most overrated players ever played for our team and probably the worst athlete ever. He could not even get passed over defenders in greek league

What is happening with the Efes? Are they reducing budget? Derek Willis is maybe not even for the EC player. I remember him in the Brindisi, he was nice in the run & gun basketball back then but he was nowhere near EL level at the Venezia. I have no idea why did they sign him. Jones is not ready for EL but I can understand the risk. Tarik Black? Good Lord. Clyburn might leave...so weird decisions.

yep, this is exactly what's happening. In the words of GM Yilmaz, they're trying to be competitive with a reduced budget. Not sure how that will happen.

They've signed many domestic players, and contrary to the previous years, they will give them significant roles.

This is what we want them to do.

But the reduction will happen step wise. A point guard, a pivot and a starting PF are still expectable.

During the season, Sloukas had made public his complaints about his participation time and the coach's plan in general. Ofcourse, there is a difference between the 2 financial offers. As it seems, he is trying to find a way to stay in Greece, otherwise he should have already declined Olympiakos' offer.

Quite amusing that Bartzokas was criticized for the opposite reason lol. I am among who thinks that he trusted him too much especially in the last quarter forgetting Canaan quite often.

So if the problem is this one it won't be solved, he isn't and he will never be treated as a superstar.

Zoosman back home, he left Alba and signed for Hapoel Jerusalem.

Sloukas is a great player, he can offer quality minutes of play. I can't really understand how you compare him with Canaan.

Efes obviously received 775k Dollar buyout from the NBA with his 3,5 million Euro salary Thompson + center + starting PF should be possible.

Efes-Thompson; 2 years 4.6 million + 550.000 buyout... Seems like Ercan Osmani will be next.

Mitoglou "won" (I don't know what the exact term is) the hearing at CAS and his punishment was dropped to 16 months. This means that he'll be available starting July 23. Now, I'm not sure how useful a player that hasn't played for 2 years will be but Ntinos used to be a very valuable (greek, very importantly) player that was consistently improving. If he can get relatively quickly back into form it will be major upgrade at the PF for us.

Good defender when he is motivated and even a better rebounder

Some news popped up that FB waived Nick, the brick, Calathes and they are eagerly after Sloukas.

Ponitka left the team, we didn't renew his contract :( Too bad, in my opinion
