If that’s the money he got then it makes sense that he went there. Fair and square. With that amount of money we could possibly get Thompson from Baskonia. Saras that he got a 3 year contract tho.

Obradovic is an excellent coach, he will always be glorified by Pana and the whole European basket world, but he shouldn't be considered something inhuman.

Other coaches could have won trophies with Pavlou (and Fener's) very huge budgets. Ataman deserves to be trusted and respected.

Lazaros Papadopoulos wasn't that dominating, but Panathinaikos ( PAO's roster: https://basketball.realgm.com/international/league/1/Euroleague/team/9/Panathinaikos/rosters/2002) managed to win EL trophy in 2002 against Kinder in Bologna (Kinder's roster: https://basketball.realgm.com/international/league/1/Euroleague/team/15/Virtus-Bologna/rosters/2002).

You are right, to be reminded though that he had at his disposal the best european player overall , Dejan Bodiroga of course.

All this not to diminish his value but to demonstrate that top players always helped him a lot.

It seems to me that also Ataman has demonstrated to be able to exploit the talent of great players.
 
Olympiacos and Nigel Williams-Goss are reuniting for the next 2 years.
For me is a good move, if Sloukas stays the backcourt will be stronger this year with 3 ball handlers (Sloukas, Goss, Walkup).
 
Very good transfer for Oly. Hopefully the decisions about Sloukas and Vezenkov will be made soon so the team can act accordingly.

Leday Is exactly what Maccabi doesn't need. I hope he signs for Pana, I don't like much this player. An undersized C with a mediocre mid-range shot, good rebounder and scorer close to the paint but quite slow.

Deck renews with Real.

I hope he signs in Pana or Barca... I prefer Costello.
 
i hope barca signs leday. u dont want him at PANATHINAIKOS either.next week we will know about mitoglou's appeal. hopefully for him (and us cause he has agreed with the team) he will be available at some point of 23-24 season. this will add quantity, quality and size at our frontcourt. however the main target as our PF is hezonja and the rumours are that he has already agreed with the team and trying to find a way to get out of his contract with the real. papapetrou will also be announced soon, maybe even today. which means



papapetrou-kalaitzakis+another g/f
hezonja-mantzoukas + mitoglou (at some point)+ agravanis (not sure about that)
lessort-papagiannis (or another one pretty much on lessort's salary and level), antetokunbo


for our backcourt marca has an article about us making an offer (600K) to barcelona for laprovitolla. i dont like him much, but i dont hate him either. we are looking for 3 guys there (plus a g/f)

Z-vildoza
g/f (wont be surprised if we keep either thomas or ponitka depending on who'S the other SG. ponitka is the type of player that would be used as ataman used simon i think)

Those wings looks very average. Ok Hezonja would be incredible, but Papapetrou as a starter? Mantzoukas and Dinos after not playing for 2 years as a backups?....
Hopefully Ataman will go for 8 foreigners, 2 purely for EL. He had 10 in Efes. Better that than rely and bet on Mantzoukas if you have that high expectations for this season.

writing of costello , he would be one the best euro adds. great center. i love him, but writing of zach well i consider him a pf/c with very good shooting ability. u in israel are all crazy for martin, a dramatic player nobody in europe could even compare with zach. but i know what kind of players u like there

I don't doubt that for a second. It wasn't my intention to belittle Partizan as an organization or (obviously) Zoc. It's the whole thing about Pao wanting to sign him, Barca wanting to cut the budget, Barca coming with a big proposal, Partizan saying that they can't match offers and will not risk the financial viability of the club for one player, then in a completely unprofessional fashion Barca haven't yet figured out previous financial obligations (Mirotic), then suddenly the most wanted player of the summer goes back to his team.
 
There is nothing strange there, Partizan has a bigger budget than Barca.

This is not sustainable for long term ofc.
