I always thought his domination at youth levels was misleading, because of his superior body. He was like a man among kids. I am sure there were other factors, though. BTW I thought Rovka was also benefiting from his physical strength similarly a bit too much, but he seems to have a better-planned career path: He was playing in the Turkish 2nd league, moved up to the 1st, and now to a great EL team in terms of player development. He could have signed with fancier clubs all along, but apparently he's smarter than that.
PS. I am sure you guys are aware of Ataman's allergy to local players. So it doesn't actually matter who you guys are signing, imho.
