do you think any other coach would not have qualified with this roster? except for your new coach, I mean :p

Barcelona had good enough roster to qualify before Saras but did not. For example, in 2019 they had Pangos, Kuric, Tomic, Claver, Smits, Hanga.. and just reached QF. I believe that Saras can take some credits for Barca's participation to F4.

Too sad that beabouis decided to stay with efes. Dorsey might be the one to come instead of him, punter still being the main target and his case has nothing to do with dorsey anyway, the plan is vildoza, another point guard, punter, another sg+moraitis+ another g/f (according to sdna.gr that might be grigonis, i dont like him i would prefer eliajah bryant if he doesnt renew with efes)

credit for what? They have players like Higgins, Satoransky, Vesely, Mirotic, Tobey, Kalinic, Kuric, Abrines, Laprovittola, Sanli and so on and you give them credit for eliminating the worst opponent out of the whole top8?

They did finish 2nd in regular season, they didn't just happen to play against Zalgiris.

Sorry mate but Bryant is also staying. Almost official.

Beaubois is quite old now, so I was expecting him to be released, but happy he is staying as well. Underrated defender, excellent shooter, great character.

No, he is leaving FB so it seems at least.

I know, I was just making joke about Itoudis retiring people

Dorsey will always find a team in Greece if he decides that it is worth forgetting the NBA. Panathinaikos is surely interested.

Any insights on what Alba might be up to? Rumors are Blatt (i) is leaving to Tel Aviv (quite likely) (ii) Smith has been offered to several teams by his agent and will lease (also quite likely) and (iii) Alba had interest in Kamagate who wenn to Milano which means that Koumadje could be on his way out (relatively likely).

How everyone is trying to get rid of Nick Calathes. Even Kenan Sipahi looks more tempting for some FB fans. :D

i can’t say that i wanna get rid of calathes.

thompson - calathes
wilbekin - guduric
pierre - onuralp
hayes - sestina
motley - sertac

our roster will be like that.

i would prefer mannion or a combo guard for this roster.

but if dorsey stays, calathes is a top backup pg.

Shhhhh…DPG will hear you and he might be tempted to bring him.

i am not against calathes. i think he is useful player.
calathes can be important part of the team.
but he can be useless too.

2 scenarios for example…

in this roster, calathes is useless.
pangos would be a better fit in this team.

thompson - calathes
wilbekin - guduric
pierre - onuralp

but…

for that roster, calathes is an unique backup pg…

thompson - calathes
wilbekin - dorsey
pierre - guduric - onuralp

cos first roster needs another scoring option rather than organiser.
but in the second one already a lot of scorers, calathes will do good job in 15 mins.

Smits, Hayes, Evans, Dimsa are staying with the club in the next season. Brazdeikis will try to prove himself in Toronto Raptors, so if he leaves there is need for starting SG.

So, Evans - new SG - Ulanovas - Smits - Hayes, not that bad. Also, there are guys like Dimsa, Butkevicius, Birutis, Lukosiunas, homegrown players. I don't know if Lekavicius will stay, but if he will then Zalgiris will need only two new players. One SG, and one PF.

Lukosiunas out, Lekavicius stays. Naz Mitrou-Long most likely joining. If Cavanaugh doesn't stay Kyle Wiltjer is rumoured replacement. Birutis, Hayes, Smits, ?Cavanaugh, Ulanovas, Butkevicius, Brazdeikis, Dimsa, Giedraitis, ?Mitrou-Long, Lekavicius, Evans
