I would take this before our HCA this season. I think he deserves it. With him, Panathinaikos will always be top 3 favourites for the trophies. Whole championship core has a contract for next year at least. Lorenzo is waking up in the last month but if he leaves we can sign someone better and much younger. Imagine TJ Shorts or we can bring someone who plays defense like NWB or Cordinier...I think Osman will stay but if he doesn't then Diallo would be great replacement. I am not sure about Yurtseven since Gabriel is playing really good and is much cheaper. I am not sure what's going to happen with Papapetrou. Grigonis will leave I think or maybe even retire. I just hope they won't sign Papagiannis. If they do I will lose my mind. I hope next year our roster will look something like this -

Damn thats a roster! Must be something like 25 Millions just for the players if not more and loan Samodurov somewhere else. This kid is too talented to fade away.

Yeah, maybe I am dreaming too much but roster won't change a lot. The biggest question is will Lorenzo, Osman and Yurtseven stay and what happens with Grigonis? I really think Osman will stay and he will be renewed very soon. On the other hand I don't think Lorenzo and Omer will stay. Maybe if season ends up great with all the trophies. But if we disappoint in the EL then I think they are both gone because Lorenzo sucks whole season except last month and some games at the beggining and for 1.7M you can get almost any guard in the Europe. We need different player who is okay to share minutes with Grant and Sloukas and who can also play at SF for some minutes. I think Cordinier would be an amazing choice and he is a great defender. NWB same. I said Shorts because there is a possibility next season might be the last for Sloukas and if you have a chance to secure Shorts you have to do it and there are some rumours about him already though.
I like Yurtseven but Lessort will play 25 minutes at least. I don't think it's smart to pay Omer 1M+ for 10ish minutes when Gabriel plays really good and is much better defender and cheaper.
About Mitoglou...I mean I really hope he will play at C but I don't know. At the end he will stay at PF and we will end up with that big pile of trash from Monaco at C so Hoard/Moneke might be a wet dream after all...
And yeah, I agree Samodurov and Avdalas should be on the loans next season but it seems Ataman doesn't want that. I mean, they will get the chance in Greece. Samodurov even gets some minutes sometimes in the EL. This is actually better than paying 500k to Antetetokoumpo!

I think Brown will have to leave if his contract ends but he might also stay if he has one more year. I agree with Osman and it would make sense since he has found his role in the team. I liked his defense and energy a lot against Paris. Grigonis should go and Yurtseven will leave too. I am pretty sure that Grigonis and Yurt wont be with the team next season.
Shorts, Sloukas and Nunn... I mean three ball dominant guards. Ataman will never be able to satisfy them all. Sloukas would have to step down big time. Its an idea tosecure Shorts for the time after Sloukas but it would be too expensive and it may lead to problems.
Yeah Yurt needs a team where he can roll as he likes and works on his defensive shortcomings. I think he considers himself better than he actually is. He proved that he can deliver in the EL offensively but he is by far not the material to be the starting center of a contender.
Big George was always overestimated. Idk what to say about him. We think in a similar way about him.
PAO was always a Greek talent grave yard. The last victim was Mantzoukas. I think PAO has also an obligation towards the NT of the country. Avdalas looks readier to me than Samodurov.

Brown has 2 more season for 3.4M total. Idk if we can ship him to Maccabi but if we can't I don't know what team will take his contract. Hopefully we won't do same thing we did with Vildoza to pay him to go somewhere else. Brown needs more minutes and I don't think Ataman can give him that with Nunn playing 30+ minutes. That's why NWB or Cordinier would be amazing because they would cover Sloukas from the bench in defense and Grant and Nunn would stay as a starting duo.
I can see Grigonis in Zalgiris next season. If he was healthy he would stay but he skipped whole season and we are way too crowded at the positions he plays.
About Yurtseven it depends a lot how Ataman sees Mitoglou. If he still sees him as a PF then Yurtseven might stay. Lessort, Yurtseven and Gabriel at C. I mean, Oly had in one moment Fall, Milutinov, Wright and Petrusev.
About Shorts, I actually think he is great partner for Nunn. For me Nunn is not that ball dominant. When you look Grant and Sloukas have much more ball in their hands. Nunn takes the ball at the end of the possession or when no one knows what to do. But also will Ataman be ready to play much faster with Shorts? He is useless in slow rhythm offense. If Ataman agrees then Shorts and Nunn can be killer duo for real. Even in this moment we have 4 ball dominant guards, so next season would be the same in that case.
Papagiannis is trash and a traitor. This would be huge slap in the face for all the fans and a club if they bring him back. I would rather watch Papapetrou at C than him.
I agree with you. Pao destroyed so many young Greek talents. That's why I said they should go on loan but there are already informations Ataman wants Avdalas in the roster next season.

Nunn is a finisher who needs to deal with the ball. He needs to dribble to get a feeling for shooting. Shorts needs guys who can catch and shoot around him. Hifi puts the ball maximum three times before he takes his shot. I am really not sure about Shorts in a contending team. He is energetic and great in up tempo but PAO wont play chaos basketball like Paris and Ataman would never accept or adapt such a game style.
PAOs game is more about missmatch and iso plays. Tbh. I didnt watch that many games of Paris to be able to talk convincingly but Shorts might be another Brown.
Avdalas makes more sense I think. He is physically ready to compete. The great danger is that Ataman does not care about talents at all. I never saw him raising a talented player. If you are not ready you are not ready. He does not care about passport, skin color or age.

If Grigo is not OK for next season then we need to bring in a sharp shooter because we need that. Grigo unstuck us many times last year and we've missed that this year. I would love someone like Obst for 10-15 mins.

I am not sure about Avdalas actually. Maybe ready to play 10-15 minutes in the Greek League but then it's better for him to stay in Peristeri because he will play much more there. Before Mitoglou and ofc Sloukas, last domestic player Ataman was giving a chance in the Europe has to be Koksal hahaha. In Efes literally no one. Tuncer and Balbay I can't count. And young domestic player he gave a chance in the Europe like Avdalas and Samodurov are right now was...maybe Aldemir?

He gave Tuncer more chances than he deserved tbh. The closest one who had a chance of a break out was Saybir. He was actually pretty solid in the Turkish BSL before his knee injury. He wanted to make a new Moerman out of him. He loves playing Osmani of Efes for example but you must be ready and develop fast.
I dont know how things are going in the Greek A1 but he was relentless in the Turkish BSL. There was no room for mistakes.

Pao will not block the pathway for Avdalas bringing in Rogavopoulos. Secondly, I don't think he wants to be part of the PAO-Oly toxicity. If anything theoretically he is closer to Oly with Papanikolaou old now and Oly needing Greek passports.
I see Mitoglou being converted to a C which pushes Papapetrou to PF so Osman and Avdalas play at SF. Papagiannis is on his way out of Monaco and I think Ataman might want him for his stretch shooting but paying him 1,7-1,8 million a year for 10 mins is madness. He's not worth it.
With Grigo not looking well for the time being, it wouldnt surprise me if PAO went for Tyler Dorsey as anti-Grigonis. Dorsey is hating it at Oly and will press hard for a release. Having Fournier and Mc Kissic before him at SG is killing his career fast.

Dorsey with a ball dominant guard like Sloukas and Nunn on top. Dorsey knows nothing other than throwing the ball towards the rim. He wont accept a catch and shoot role in Panathinaikos.

But in the same time I am asking myself how Zalgiris managed to sign Francisco who is lets say 40% worse then Nunn but still great, for 4 or 5 times less money. I mean Nunn is great signing but considering value/money ratio, Francisco is signing of the year imo.

Hmmm, so Pao, Fener and Efes are front runners to sign Dario Saric. Source is actually pretty reliable Croatian news site. Idk why is Pao mentioned. He is not PF anymore in my eyes and there is no way in hell he would come in Pao to play behind Lessort. If Ataman really wants to play him as PF then ok...but I think that would be horrible decision. Efes also doesn't make a lot of sense with Poirier and Oturu and bunch of power forwards. On the other hand, Fener makes a lot of sense. Saras plays God damn Melli at 5. Saric is like 50 times better player. And Fener plays great so with Saric they would upgrade a lot. And also Saric can score easily in the post also. This would be fantastic signing for Fener IMO.
