European Club Competitions 2024/25 - Signing & Rumors

Roman Sorkin extended his contract at Maccabi Tel Aviv for another five seasons.

Valencia signed Luka Božić. Last 2 seasons in Zadar he had monster numbers 20ps, 8rb, 6 as and won 2 stright MVP's. Let's see if he can play like that on higher level

Efes has a good roster. Their problem is that they have the most overrated (along walkup, even though he is not paid that much) player in the euroleague and thats darius thompson. especially next to larkin who is the main guy in their offensive game. The ideal player for efes would be jerian grrant to cover larkin's lack of size defensively and he could also play without the ball. And he is not paid 2,5 million per year of course, like thompson. actually not even half of it

Efes will surely hunt micic when he comes back this winter or next summer. Im 100% ataman will do the same, even if our backcourt seems already full. With sloukas being 34 and brown the same and next summer nunn will have nba out again, you dont risk letting micic go somewhere else

People online bash Efes for closing the roster as it is, but I am happy. It's not going for a title, surely, but should do better than last 2 years. if anything, we will not see Clyburn hijacking the game, so we can actually enjoy watching them.

the biggest question mark is the coach. and then Larkin. I agree him & Thompson are not a good fit, despite how everyone was saying Thomson was the perfect placement for Micic. He's not. He's good for the run & gun game but below average for anything else, especially when Larkin dominates the ball.

Bryant & Beaubois are excellent. Efes also believes in Hollatz for some reason. Maybe they know something, we'll see.

the moves in the frontcourt could not be better. No complaints there, especially if Stanley Johnson turns out good.

I like the locals as well. Melih Tunca should see some playing time if he stays. He's the only special talent we have. Others will most likely play in the TBL.

Is he still on loan from Cedevita or has he signed permanently? (Wikipedia says he was on loan last season.)

Also, Thomas Heurtel has left Zenit. Will we see him back in the Euroleague again?

Ataman renewed 3 more years. Official.

So the goal of 5 straight euroleagues as planned with dpg is beginning.

Hm, so Moneke to Partizan....that's incredible signing and makes Partizan very good. I just don't understand what is Baskonia doing...

Baskonia can not be blamed here. CMM was played probably for 200-300-400k for Baskonia and he has his clausule and now he has 3x-4x that money in Zvezda.
Baskonia got that money from clausule and thats it, otherwise Baskonia needs to give him like 1.2 - 1.5m sallary to save him and in that case they would not get 500k from clausule.
Situation for Moneke is even more clear, 900k is clausule for him.. And probably he wants even bigger sallary..

No, I understand your point of view but I don't understand why did they settle for the lower buyout. I really doubt during the whole summer no one was willing to pay more than 1M for the Moneke's freedom. I think they were gambling and now decided that this is okay. But I really thought he will stay especially with Laso being the new coach and them refusing the offers. Anyway, they signed Hall at C which is very good and I expect him to have good season. And when I look now on the roster of Partizan it's actually pretty solid. For me borderline TOP 8 team but they will depend a lot on Carlik Jones and if he finishes RS as top 5 PG then they have good chances.

it seems they didnt settle for the lower buyout.. this would be the first time i think, that baskonia didnt go for good money..

Moneke denied everything.

He is a good player but not worth of that saga.

Yup. I actually think it's a good move for Baskonia if they decided to not let him go especially after really bad last season.

Jokubaitis to Maccabi is so weird move. But he won't have pressure like he had in Barca so it's now or never for him. With how fast Maccabi plays under Kattash and with Hoard and Gabriel making frontline duo I actually expect Jokubaitis to average a lot of assists. Actually, fvck it, my bold prediction for this season is that Jokubaitis will be 1st in the assists in the whole EL!:p

lol, I assume that Maccabi guys think that he is going to make a jump but he is so different from the guys that they are used to. Maccabi will fail again.

Guess he did not impress the Knicks enough. PS--- The Olympics Prediction game is up under that forum. Forgot I won last time, but will most likely make it two in a row.
