are you serious ? how can you even talk and your team without Nowitski didn't qualify to 2nd round ?
both Jordan and Lebanon made strong games , they were able to keep it close with most of the teams but sometimes you can't matchup big teams all the time.
Lebanon beat Canada with Andy Rautins and Joel Anthony on the board , they were close with Spain but bad officiating killed the game although im not saying we can beat them , the game with france was almost close but in 2nd half we gave up and start pushing our bench players before the NZ game.
the only bad game we played is vs NZ and even kirk penney said that our players were overconfident about the win , and thats one of the reason we blame our team for this mentality.
Jordan as well , deserve to win over Australia , they made a good fight against Angola and Argentina , their only bad game was against serbia.
In general , they were not weak and they had a nice championship and we as Lebanese are proud that our fans were supporting our team from the court so that proves again why we are there!
The young german team disappointed in this tournament - no doubt about that, but not s serious either since the main goal from the very beginning was for the young guys to gain experience for the Euro Champs in Lithuania, where they will reunite with Nowitzky for the olympic qualifier. Nevertheless, the ot loss to angola was a humiliating one, that even the very easy win over Jordan the day after couldn't really make up for.
I thought that we were talking about the general comparison between Europe and Asia, and not Germany and Asia (didn't we beat Jordan easily??).
If you call big defeats like the ones of Lebanon against France, Spain or even Lithuania good or even close results, keep on dreaming.
Blaming the loss to Spain to bad officiating is ridiculous, as you may know yourself. Actually, your only win came against a canadian team, that cannot be counted as one of the stronger ones in this tournament either.
Anyway, the results between european and asian teams in this tournament speak for themselves and still indicate quite a difference between Asia (except China) and Europe - wether you like it or not.
Jordan? You keep mentioning scores again, that don't belong in this discission here. Their game against Serbia was a very one sided affair, and Germany didn't really have problems with them either due to their dominance inside. So where is your point?
Bottom lie is that Lebanon, Jordan and even Iran failed and didn't manage to win a single game against european teams, loosing by an average margin of 23points.
