any eventual moviment is nothing if we are going to cut caloiaro. is a so incredible new that nothing could cancel this eventuality. obviously except il fans who , as usual, will go to the airport cheering everybody. caloiaro should be a 20-25 min player (with or without caspi). i would recomend him to every top level el team

This are sport5 news. I would not take them too seiorusly.
Usually every summer they throw 100-200 names, and eventually got 1-2 right. This summer they even worse, they weren't able to publish news about the actual signing, just a lot of fake news.

They have written for weeks that Teodisich is almost a done deal or that Sloukas has a serious offer from Maccabi and may choose it. (Basketball fans understood that this is not going to happen, but many casual sports fans got surprised when they find out Sloukas prefer to stay at a better team for better money).

Maybe they didn't make him an offer yet, but if they wont get Lin or Adams, they will send if offer for sure.

At his best he has been a rotation player in a F4 underdog team that was 99% led by Bourousis and had Adams, Causeur, Hanga, Shengelia and others in more important roles.

At his second best he was a 2nd or 3rd option in a team getting swept in the playoffs.

At his worst, he was a point guard with terrible decision-making leading a team to the 12th place despite his salary and the team's budget.


There is not an underestimation of James, there is a severe overestimation of him. Can he be somewhat productive for Cska? Sure. But there has never ever been an instance where he's been the lifesaver of a team over a season. And if they expect him to be, reaching playoffs might be hard.

No matter the inaccuracies about MJ's history, I would want to hear your opinion for his skill(s). Can he score? Can he defend? Can he pass? Is he athletic and fast?
Perhaps he is not fit for a leader but he definitely is a great asset for a team if you can use him properly.

P.P.S. I took a break from the forum since the tragic and unexpected passing of my father. Generally not only I haven't seen a basketball game since then (so I've missed final stages of play-offs in most European leagues, U-19 world, European U-20s and current U-18s) and, on a different note, haven't play a game of basketball myself, not even a shooting practice, but also I haven't followed basketball rumours and hearsay with as much vigour as I did before. So maybe my opinions are becoming rusty and outdated, who knows.

Well, maybe I won't post for a long time once again, so you will have a benefit of not grinding your way through my blabber-mouthing diatribes and clumsily worded pseudo-analytic essays. You know, basketball is an exciting thing which I was truly mad about for a long time. And when your life has a true sense of meaning, then this 'basketball boost' hugely enhances and enriches it. But once this sense of meaning pales and withers, basketball can't save you from the feeling of loss and all this Weltschmerz. It is not powerful enough for that. At least, it is not for me. Sorry for the rant, guys

My condolences man. I have had some loses in my life too and I can absolutely sympathize. There are ways to overcome it, I hope you'll find them. Time is always the best doctor for such tragedies.

If his decision-making was usually good then he could be one of the greatest leaders in EL. He is not, we agree on that.
Speaking about inaccuracies, I had watched him playing in Baskonia and he was -along with Bourousis- the main factor of Bakonia's success. (The same Bouroussis who was taunted by you before that if I remember right)

Actually, he learned to play (not overly clumsily for someone who started when he was in his late thirties, I have to mention) simultaneously with me since he played only football during his youth. So maybe one day I can practice both (watching and playing) once again but so far I'm not ready still. As you can guess, we were very close, not only father and son but best friends also (and even colleagues, both being mathematicians).

Yet every now and then I try to scan through a little bit of bball news to restore some sort of semblance to my previous ways of wasting free time and also I hope to find enough passion for basketball to visit these boards from time to time, cause, alongside with countless other advantages, impeccable Jazz' analysis of the rise and fall of that basketball colossus, the one and only Suacan Piskin, is a thing not to miss for anyone with a passion for real international basketball.

Given that basketball always had such a close connection with your father, it's totally understandable that right now is is painful for you. Perhaps sometime in the future it will instead be a great reminder of your father and your bond with him.

and i start thining they are consideiring him as a sf. big error. it means we d play long minutes with "jumper painty pf (acy) and we ll have less minutes by caloiaro -zoosman-avdija. absurd.
i think our treasures are zoosman calo diba avdija black and even bryant . none of them shold play less min than they d deserve.
would be impressive if we ll not get playoffs. not because of impressive market. simply because loosing pargo-kane is the biggest upgrate among entire euroleague teams. so, if they well share minutes, will be easy to get 7th-8th place
