Lol, it's still July, he's a 'top guard', how is it hard? There were rumours of him being cut for weeks now, is his agent an idiot, he made no calls?

It still doesn't justify if Messina actually told him he is a big piece for next season then saying lol get rekt. If this actually happened, that is. But yeah, his agent definitely must have some offers lined up, if he doesn't, James should fire him.
 
@Tevfik, I don't get why you're trying so much. We all know Larkin is a worthless player, Ataman is a dumb clown, and Efes is not even a Eurocup team.
Happy now? let's move on.

He is (would be) an interesting addition indeed. It’s kind of a “if not now, when?” kind of situation. He is young, he got playing time at a serious squad, he should be tested at the next level.
 
Mike James is an idiot. I said it last year, I will say it this year as well. Acting like a diva on twitter. He should grow the f*** up.
And just like I said that Milano won't make the playoffs after their 6-2 start last year if they don't contain James, the team which buys him won't make the playoffs this year. Let Maccabi buy him and see them not making playoffs. Mark my words.

Probably Mike got a big piece of the TEAM, while Ettore was thinking about a big piece of the MARKET ;)

Mike Jame's playing style maybe questionable, yet he's doing the right thing. Olimpia's approach towards contracts is ridiculous. Their scouting staff, management or the entire organisation should take the responsibility for getting long term contracts with players they don't need. Try to understand the player - he has a contract, he has a job and then out of a sudden the club decides that the contract means nothing. And that's not the first time. Hopefully Mike will go till the end. Perhaps ELPA could pay more attention to situations like these.

James has a fully rights to demand his salary. But as usualy, Milano will pay some, his new team will pay the rest and the saga will come to the end
 
Seems that just me and Messina consider Nunnally isn't player for the serious EL plans... Time for came back to Avelino where he belongs

I am ok with that, let's move on. But I am not happy because I never said that. :) Larkin is a perfect guard for Efes tier (right below Fener, CSKA, Real) teams, and I just said Ergin isn't on Obra's and Messina's level as a coach, I think you would agree with that too.
 
I hope Ataman and Obradovic comparison is just a joke. Otherwise it is just a comedy not a serious conversation.

I see Ataman as a talented but a lazy coach. He doesn't have an answer if his plan A doesn't work. Just like Xavi Pasqual. Their plan A is good and successful if it works but if not they choke
Ataman's strategy looks like giving the control the guards and hope for the best. Actually this is not a bad idea in today's basketball especially if there are quality high potential guards in your team but also you need have some answers when things gone bad. He is one dimensional also his character doesn't look like well.

That's harsh! Avellino had financial issues in the meantime and will play B-league next season

I don't agree.
Mike have the rights to claim for his money, of some of them if he'll get a new contract.. but his behaviour is far from professional.

A basketball player PLAYS. A pro.basketball players PLAYS for MONEY. If you decide it's better not to play.. than you are not a Player, nor a Pro. If you trust yourself (as Mike does), the best way to punish Messina is to get another EL contract and to score 40 against them.
If you decide to stay to clap and wave towels for your teammates, getting your check regularly, your pro.career is over. You might get even richer if you sue your management for mobbing... but you're not a Pro basketball player.
