Yup, they can always buy players from NBA with their gigantic budget, just like Barça and Real can. But as you say, there aren't star players left on the europe, they need to keep Rodriguez, especially after losing De Colo and Higgins at the same time. Clyburn can't carry CSKA by himself. De Colo and Rodriguez, Higgins carried the team, Clyburn was the scorer they needed. And now they lost 2 main components out of 3.
A player who never played in Europe before is a risk for CSKA. If I were their Gm, I wouldn't let Rodriguez go and I would go for Larkin. Strelnieks can't be more than a back-up guard for them, the guy couldn't even carry Oly to the playoffs, what he could do on a F4 level team like CSKA.
Well because he was injured after the last qualification game against Montenegro and they had to play with Mantzaris.

But your right he is just a good shooter and rest is more average.
