he refused around 500k from zvezda, bayern offering more..
 
We are without a single American player until now. Regarding mistakes and bad choices last couple of years it could be good.
 
Westerman-Sloukas-De Colo-Dixon.Who the hell is gonna play any defense on this backcourt.

CSKA signing Voigtman,Strelnieks and Hillard.Those are moves of a fridge top 8 team not the champion after they lost their 3 best players.

why? with sloukas, dixon, guduric and ennis/green we were the best defensive team in rs season. we are playing team defense so it won't be much of a problem imho. if we don't have injuries like last season we will be juuust fine.

A good observation, agree. They made a huge mistake.
 
Smart recruitment for Fener via DeColo and Westermann. They are already stronger in the guards than last year.

You have claimed that "Fener fans tell a player is good only if player signs with Fener" , i replied this is not correct and asked you what your problem is with Fenerbahçe?

While I admit our backcourt isn't even close to intimidating on defense, we're doing ok until losing Vesely and Lauvergne. Melli and Ahmet wasn't able to close the gaps. Now we'll probably change Guduric with Westermann, which doesn't change much.

I am still waiting for some stars to CSKA, as far as I know they didn't cut the budget.

They unleashed around 4 milions after De Colo and Higgins left, but I think Clyburn salary is higher then previous season and they brought three new players. That is maybe 2.5 milions spent from those 4 milions. So if budget is the same they don't have enough money for star players. But with CSKA you never know:rolleyes:

Don't worry, they have enough money. The question is - are there enough stars left?
 
I think both Westermann and Rubit are good signings.

Fener though will have issues imho in defense. Vesely is not nearly as good in defense as you think. He was a sieve versus Micic & Larkin. Once the perimeter guy was beaten, he could not stop any drives. Udoh could, but it's old story now.

Fener had always problems with Guards, who decide very quickly.

Yup, they can always buy players from NBA with their gigantic budget, just like Barça and Real can. But as you say, there aren't star players left on the europe, they need to keep Rodriguez, especially after losing De Colo and Higgins at the same time. Clyburn can't carry CSKA by himself. De Colo and Rodriguez, Higgins carried the team, Clyburn was the scorer they needed. And now they lost 2 main components out of 3.

A player who never played in Europe before is a risk for CSKA. If I were their Gm, I wouldn't let Rodriguez go and I would go for Larkin. Strelnieks can't be more than a back-up guard for them, the guy couldn't even carry Oly to the playoffs, what he could do on a F4 level team like CSKA.
 
Alex Perez should come to Žalgiris. Watched couple of Banvit games this season. Opinion I made about him - pretty high Basketball IQ, decent shooter, an OK driver and defender, but he lacks more strength in order to be better slasher and defender. Is it true?
