I dont count Vezenkov and I doubt that Schroder is going to play such a dominant tournament again. Markannen this season does not convince me at all. We will see anyway in a couple of month.
 
Markanen dont need to do no convincing. I can you tell right now he gonna average over 22+pts per game in eurobasket 2025 :)

In Fiba basketball Markanenn style shooting big feels like fish in the water.


With Sengun he will have to show he can adapt to fiba better than Vucevic or Sabonis could.

I feel confident that peaking 28 old Markkanen will be more dominated than 23 old Sengun in 2025 Eurobasket

But in scoring pts per game with Markanen playing for Finland 35minutes even Doncic and Giannis would have their hand full to keep up :)

I have just checked it up. Sengun with 20 had 16,5 points after three years and a better surrounding he will surpass the 20+ mark easily. I think 2022 was for Markannen an exception. He will make his points but he wont be that dominant. The Problem with Markkanen is he does not like contact. He always shies away. 20 points with 42% fgp and 36% from the three are not great percentages tbh.

Last 3 season in Jazz uniform Markanen averages in nba is 22,5pts .He is scoring machine and dont need to dominate the ball

You are making the mistake to believe that a player always get better with age. Look at Markkanens stats 2022 and now especially the 3 point percentage and volume.

20+ inclueds also 25 points or more. Incidently, I would consider myself confirmed when Markkanen had 25 points (wont happen) and Sengun 22 points since it is difficult to score in a competitive team with more scoring options. Anyway, it will be a fun tournament.
 
Spain got to play Hugo and Mario, big step towards the future. But they lack PG now. Nunez is not there yet to lead them. Spain in crisis, their transition after Rubio wasn't good, just a fluke in 2022, but only because of random American carry them. Spain with a reality ticket finally.

Latvia might be a force again, they trashed Spain. B or whatever Spain, but it's still Spain. Latvia will be competitive if Porzingis comes.

Turkey has nothing at position 1, so big games are out of question. Sengun and Biberovic is there, but no ball handlers and play makers.

Germany has solid b team.
 
Wemby season ending health problems puts him at question regarding EB.

Seven out of twelve players yesterday have a WC gold medal ; ), and Daniel Theis is also joining on Sunday. Happy to see Tibor Pleiss back in the mix.

Dennis and Franz are huge obviously though!

Sadly, I think Moe Wagner's injury is a big blow. He was having a career high season and was so good as a 6th man.
I really hope Isaiah Hartenstein finally plays again for Germany. He said he wants to but he has to check his health after the season. It would be a HUGE addition. Oklahoma City finally unleashed his potential as a baby Jokic.

Tristan da Silva will also be a very interesting new entry in FIBA basketball.

Hartenstein would be a nice addition, but nothing really ground braking. I like him since even Zalgiris days, but with all due respect dude is averaging 9.7ppg in last 10 games and 11ppg in the season. A bit too generous to call him baby Jokic, even though he can pass some, rebound and obviously very good role player. He would solidify Germany's as top contender status off course, but nothing really more.

Wemby still at question so we'll see, but if he's out then I agree that Serbia and Germany separate themselves from the rest.

I would not be so sure about that. Larkin is fresh back from an injury and was not ready at all. A ready Larkin is still one of the top play maker in the Eurobasket. The reason why he played is the beef between Fenerbahce and Ataman. Fenerbahce refuses to send players as long as Ataman is the NT coach. And its surely not only Sengun which will power up. I expect big contribution from Bona too.

About Germany: Hartenstein would be a major power up but I doubt that he is gonna play.

Of course baby Jokic is half joking. But he is also one of the best defenders in the league. Double-double machine in the NBA with very good basketball IQ. Imagine him playing from the high post with one of the best cutters in the game (Franz Wagner). it will be deadly. I think you are underestimating how much of a difference he makes outside of pure stats. OKC is 30-4 with him and 14-6 without him.

Taking a good look at the German roster the only weak point is the center position and Hartenstein would be a great addition especially defensively but he already made clear that he is not gonna play this year.
 
Croatia managed to fail qualifying. Three of four teams qualify and they made it again.

Wow, they are unlucky to go against strong France. 37 points of Hezonja wasn't enough. Well, that's a hit, but maybe it's time to realize Croatia had basketball only 90s basically.

Maledon's performance doesn't entirely convince he can be an answer for the France at 1. Only one game though.
