Tavares has played only 1 half in first 2 games. I would say that helped Partizan a bit.

And now we have game 5 without Yabusele, Deck, Poirier, Abalde, Causeur and Alocen.

Partizan scored 48 points in the first half with Tavares playing every minute of the first half in G1. Actually, Partizan scored less in the second half when Real played without Tavares.

Also, couple of weeks before playoffs started, Partizan dropped 104 points on Real with Tavares playing heavy minutes.

Now, I'm not saying Tavares is not impactful, just that Partizan with Punter is so dangerous on the perimeter that it limits to certain extant Tavares' impact. It just changes the whole game plan for Partizan with or without Punter. It also makes life a lot harder for Mateo because zone defense won't work that well. And Real was pretty much clueless how to adjust to Partizan's offense.

And I don't care who is missing now after suspensions and injuries, because I was pointing out how good Partizan was before that brawl and that they were going to sweep Real.

I don’t wanna take anything away from Olimpiakos’s great team and performance…however;
It is possible to beat a very good team.
It is also possible to beat a very good team in an away game in an arena packed with great fans.
But it is impossible to beat a very good team and away 5th game in an arena packed with great friends when refereeing is also disgracefully home sided. Pity :(

I don't think that fener's problem are the referees, the fact is as I wrote that it is impossible to win such a game with a restricted roster. Itoudis utilized 7 players (Pierre not to be considered, his impact was null).

You need a full roster in order to alternate the defences, foul a lot without fear especially under the paint, become as much unpredictable as possible.

eveybody knows that the home team is supported a little by the referees, but today they took it on another level. shame on the referees and shame on olympiacos for their hypocrisy.

anyways, congrats to olympiacos. they finished on top and therefore deserved to go to the final four.

Such referees would be any team's problem. They really took it to another level when it was going head to head. In every position that they watched they succeeded to give wrong decision as well. It is unfortunate that is euroleague mafia. FB would already have it by 3-1 if they could `see" Sloukas' obvious travelling on the buzzer shoot.

I agree. We dont have a deep roster, and it showed.
Anyway, looking at the whole season, I think Oly deserves to be in F4…so congratulations to Oly.

We should have beaten CZ and matched up with Monaco. If you lose the last game in regular season against an eliminated team, it is a very uphill road.

However, deep roster or not, switch Sloukas and Calathes and we would be in F4 :/

Coaches in all highest level in elimination games say trust 6,play 7 players

Playing 10 players coaches does only at the start of the series,in win or go home game play your best players heavy minutes like there is no tommorow.

Winning game 5 on road it hasnt been done in euroleague history yet. Crowds are crazy, refs is on home team side and home team players plays with enormous energy

I thought Fener gave way better fight than most people expected,if not that Sloukas dificult shot are we sure olympiakos even wins this series?

I hope Fener will win the Turkish championship like the previous season. Itoudis and his team will have again all my support.

I don't understand what happened with Booker, his injury is dated 4 April I think and they had said that he would have been ready in 3-4 weeks.

5 weeks passed and we didn't see him play. These little things make the difference sometimes. Moreover considering the 3pt low percentages of the others (Calathes the worst) Wilbekin might also have been useful.

Disgraceful referee performance. They crumbled under the pressure and made some ridiculous calls.

Oly deserved the F4 with their regular season performance and definitely congrats to them. They did not impress at all during the playoffs against a team who were missing Wilbekin, Bjelica, Booker, let's see how it goes in F4.

A word about Sloukas - he will have a great reception when he comes back here. Shameful acts all five games and acting as though Fener treated him badly during his time here lol.

Don't cry about the refs.Fener was way too physical in this series. The refs allowed this, specially in G4,but they made the calls tonight. If not for Guduric's 3s the game would be over way sooner. No offensive plan from Fener,

For those mentioning Sloukas supposed travel,no ref is calling that gather in that point of such a game. And if he does,he also calls Guduric's travel in the previous play.He clearly moves his right pivot after faking Papanikolaou. But as I said,no ref would call both of those.

Despite home court disadvantage Fener has been awarded more fouls than Oly in the whole series and they still try to blame refs. Itoudis accepted his defeat as he knew he was never close to win that game

Refereeing was pretty decent for the whole series. I don't think any side can complain. Asking for traveling on Sloukas' shot is just not in this realm of reality. No one would ever call that anywhere.

Fener had their chances but since they didn't manage to close out the series in Turkey it was almost impossible to win a game 5 in Greece. It would be an incredible feat if they managed to qualify.

Congrats to Oly for going to the F4 and good luck to them! They are favorites for winning imo and my only reservation is that they are not used into going to F4 as the best team.

It was not impossible to win game 5 in Greece. FB was just too bad at 5 and the roster is too bad unlike many may think. Calathes proved again that with him you cant win decisive games.

Ok, when I say impossible I don't mean that there is an actual 0% chance. Obviously, anyone can win any game at any given time. But Oly is a very good and serious team with players that understand the gravity of such moments. Like I said, it would be an incredible feat if Fener had won.

As for Calathes, we've talked 5000 times about him and I think the only people that support him are some weird Pao fans that are stuck to the past.

Olympiacos is a good team but since they lost the second game in SEF, while they "had" to make the most of their home advantage, they could also lose the 5th game, if Fener was not that bad.

And me! :D Next season will be his once he gets a bit more help.

Congrats to Oly for the F4. Their program continues to deliver with a low-cost roster. This is rare and refreshing in the EL.

It was near-impossible to get game 5 away for Fener. As Cuneyt said they should have taken care of business earlier in the RS, or even in Istanbul in the series. but they're on the right path, IMHO. They'll improve. Motley showed he's a rookie, and they could not defend Sloukas. it's been a successful season despite the disappointing end.

As for refs, I tend to agree with Fener fans in this particular game mainly because they changed Itoudis's game plan, by calling fouls too easily or simply incorrectly, but that was not unexpected.
