Not sure about Calathes. He offers much but if you compare their successes its Sloukas. Papaloukas, Spanoulis and Diamantidis are clearly better. There are dimensions between them but yeah you will find easily 10 guys better than him.

He was nobody in all seasons, when his team has won. Not sure how much of team success was on him. Solid player, who's becoming a star with total decline of Euroleague.

Well, he is old but he can play the last 5 minutes of the game and finish the game. Thats something Calathes was never able to.

If we're going to diminish Calathes based on his shooting then we can hardly put Papaloukas on a pedestal. Papaloukas declined super quickly after 30.
Spanoulis wasn't even Oly's best player in either the 2012 or 2013 F4's. He found a great situation in Oly where he got all the credit when they won and none of the blame when they didn't.

Its clear that you cant win anything with Mike James. He brings you to a certain point and drags you down after that point.

I wouldn't blame James for today because Okobo was equally bad in the second half together with the rest of the team. About the whole season it is a different question, he earns 2,6 million/season, these money could be spent much more profitably.

Without Higgins there is not enough power in Barca. Maybe they will manage to beat Real but there is big problem in role distribution and Oly could use that as a gift.

Saras made from Kuric mediocre player, this is not player we know, used to be the best shooter.

You don't want to die on that hill. ;)

Before you're criticising Spanoulis in F4, you should look what Sloukas has done. :D

Saras came prepared for zone D. But you still has to hit those open shots. I don't know, if they can continue like that. If they can, than it's over.

Jokubaitis lost couple of teeth, but gave a good sparkle from the bench :) IMO, Saras made mistake throwing in Nnaji, he's not ready yet, too many bad things offensively. Defensively he's the beast though. Tavares was huge factor at the start, but Real struggles to shoot so far. Mirotic traditionally choking, but hopefully will wake up. Satoranski providing offensively is huge plus, cause he's the guy who can easily become bleak offensively. Abrines and Kuric threes made a difference so far. The game is completely open, can go either way.

I am glad S.Obradovic agrees completely with me (lol).

Bad defence due to lack of aggressiveness was the initial problem in the second half, successively this caused also the problems on offence with Oly that acquired courage defending harder and harder.

And why he didn't call time out immediately and didn't even call the second?

In 2012 it was the young players like Sloukas that brought Oly back from the brink.
In 2013 Spanoulis got outperformed in the final by Acie Law, the exact type of American player you claim no-one wants to watch.

You don't understand, there was always those kind of Americans, but we have stars too. Now we have only role players.

Look what is going up today, 2 former MVP's. 2 points together, total joke.

You're saying Spanoulis was a star when he was actually being outperformed by exactly those Americans and by role players on those big occasions.

Sloukas doesn't have the ego where he demands to be the leader at the expense of the team.

Agree with this. Spanoulis was chucking quite a bit, it was Oly's rock solid team defense in those years that allowed Spanoulis to find his rhythm in games that he was underwhelming. Nothing to take away from him though, a great competitor. Calathes can't shoot, but when it comes to playmaking he is better than Spanoulis, while Diamantidis and Papaloukas are better than both.

Killer Bob

Saying that Teo is not near the top is just trolling.
