its a devastating defeat. and llull, i dont know what to say to you. he became the player who changed the fate of rm (in every sense).

so, whats going to happen to jasikevicius now?
He will go to the NBA to teach low tempo offence :)
Pao would be a very good destination but they choose Ataman,Efes maybe?

I don't want Saras at Pao until he shows some promise. As of now, his Zalgiris year seems to have been a fluke.

too late for that :) erdem can probably will be efes' new coach as reports say. jasikevicius is a huge disappointment. i wonder where he will end up next season.

There's not much evidence that Llull, at any stage of his career, could have lead a lower budgeted team like Olympiacos as expertly as Sloukas has this season.

What do you think poll results would be, if the question was, who was better player? Maybe Greeks would choose Sloukas, although I'm not sure about that, others wouldn't.

Team in Euroleague were very near together this year, because you simply can't find great players, even if you have almost unlimited budget. There's very few good playmakers and very few good bigs in the market. Level of Euroleague went drastically down, but that enabled teams with less money to compete with bigger clubs.

We all give our congrats to Real concerning yesterday match and their winning spirit.
How about the ethic of Real this year.
a)he begun by firing their coach for 10 years Pablo Laso ,saying that he is uncapable of working, something that proved false.
b)rumors that real closed Scariolo for new coach while they are still trying to reach their goals(unfair to coach Chus Mateo)
c)the whole fight thing that eveyone had agreed that the punisment were at least unfair

Llull was more athletic at his peak, but that's it.
It's revisionism to pretend now that Llull and his cronies were the European version the 90s Bulls when in reality most years they were flopping (pun intended) in the Final 4 or outright missing it altogether. I'm sure you remember the great playoff sweep of 2017? :D

Efes has just reject these rumors, that' why i said it.
Jasikevicius is a good coach with plan, but not for a rich club to play dominant basket.
He would be great to go to an underdog.
An aspect that he definitely must improve is his behavior to his players,at least at Barca had many issues

I remember very well 2017, because I was watching it in Istanbul. Do you know that Llull has scored 28 points in semis, so he was hardly the 1 to blame. On the other hand Sloukas with 9 points was hardly instrumental for the win.

Real has won 3 titles in last 8 seasons, it looks pretty impressive to me. ;)

Ataman's usual antics put Efes in a difficult situation. The domestic league is ongoing, and Erdem Can's team, TT Ankara (1) will possibly match up against Efes (3) in the semis. I guess both sides have had to deny the rumors at the moment.

as for Saras, even though I bashed him at Barca, think, he might be a good option for a "rebuilding" Efes. With Clyburn and Larkin still under contract, and the 35+ yo players gone, the next year is going to be a transition. Saras is not a good fit right now.

It doesn't matter, no matter what you won't see Spanish fans anywhere. And it's not much better with Cska fans. Greeks or Turks have basically home court advantage every time.

And Israeli, don't forget Maccabi if they manage to reach again the f4.

They had already managed to occupy half Monaco's arena during the playoffs lol. But the team didn't exploit their aid.

If you look at yesterday's Real roster, it's evident that quality of Euroleague has gone down. Yes, it's the same 3 players for Real, but they were in their prime 10 years ago, now they have 110 years together and are still key players.

About Sloukas, he has really won 3 titles, but he has never won it as the leader of a team. He averaged 5.5 points in those 3 wins. He made only 3 FGs in this F4.

About Vezenkov, cool player, everyone would be extremely happy to have him. He deserved MVP. Problem is elsewhere. Can you imagine kids, not big Oly fans, buying his shirt? No way. He's unmarkable, like the whole Euroleague. You look at Vezenkov and see a role player, extremely important one, but still a role player. He can't be the face of the league.

Markkanen is already a NBA superstar.

Is Vezenkov that inferior to him? I think he has the qualities not to produce yet Markkanen's numbers but at least to become a solid NBA presence.

But he has to go there now, he can't expect any more.

This must be bait :p

Yes he's. He's much bigger and more athletic. And there's 1 very big difference, he has ball handling skills, which Vezenkov unfortunately hasn't. They're totally different type of players.

Vezenkov can be easily a stable double-digit NBA scorer and add a respectable number of rebounds. Working and understanding the game would further improve his numbers. It's up to him. I would go there now, immediately, or otherwise say no to the American dream forever.

Look, it's not that simple in Nba. First you have Nba stars, then you have already proven rotational players, then you have young prospects and at the end you have not anymore young players from Europe. And Kings will be with big expectations next year, it's a different situation than playing for tanking team.

He probably would be able to produce 10+ points, if he gets 25+ minutes. Problem is, that's very unlikely. The most likely scenario is that he will finish deep on the bench, like Cancar or both Hernangomez brothers.

Meh, that's very similar to Sloukas travel vs Fener. No one would ever call that and that's fine imo.

I tend to agree, however comparing to Sloukas here Llull is steady and he moves both feet. However it is very difficult to call it
