Which two clubs will be eliminated?

Options are Bayern Munich, AS Monaco, FC Barcelona, Paris Basketball, Real Madrid, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Anadolu Efes, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. What do you think?

I would say Paris and Zvezda.
 
I think that Paris will have 18 victories at the end. So, they will need at least two teams to be below them after 34th round. Crvena zvezda have a tough schedule. They must win against Real Madrid AND Efes, both those games. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Efes have much easier schedule. Barcelona should easily win against Bayern, Virtus and Zalgiris at home, Efes should win against Zalgiris, Baskonia and Maccabi at home and Real Madrid should win against both teams from french league and Milano at home. Milano, I guess they should win last two games against Baskonia and Virtus. Bayern will have Fenerbahce at home, that should bring them one victory in case that Fenerbahce will secure 2th position. :D Partizan have some games that they can win or lose, against us in Kaunas, against Bayern in Munich, against Efes and Real Madrid, both games in Belgrade.
 
Zvezda has h2h advantage over Paris. That means a lot. I think they will lose definitely both games in Greece because even if Pao has secured top 4 position, Ataman will definitely play all the players in the last round. Efes has great schedule at home and I expect all 3 wins but they need 1 win in Belgrade. If they win then they are in top 10, 100%. Bayern has tricky schedule but they should be safe. Monaco same story, they will beat Zalgiris and Asvel at least and they will be top 6. Barca with 3 wins against Virtus, Zalgiris and Bayern is safe also and very likely top 6. Real is interesting since they have 3 easier games at home but both away games in Belgrade. A lot of h2h things can be solved in those games. Milano is tough to predict to be honest. I think at the end 4 teams - Partizan, Zvezda, Efes and Real will give 2 teams out of the play-in, in their games between each other but also a lot will depend with Paris and Milano and h2h with them since let say Zvezda has 2-0 against Paris, but Milano has 2-0 against them and Paris vs Milano is 1-1. We need to wait at least 2 more rounds to see better picture.
 
Does anyone watch Olympiacos Zvezda?! Holy shit what the hell is Olympiacos doing. Vezenkov became Papapetrou somehow and missed every layup. Peters also. Zvezda has no C and Oly can't make a layup :D
 
Some top teams have some incentive to lose some games, so it can also affect the results.
As long as you have home court advantage, it doesn't matter if you are 1 or 4, but you can try to avoid some team and position yourself against a preferred rival.
These teams will also want to rest some players to avoid injury.
I expect Olympiacos and Fener to lose some games.
 
I swear Vezenkov is throwing this game on purpose. Holy moly what did he do...Fournier is also walking brick. I mean, kudos to Zvezda, they played incredible first half but this is just very bad level from Oly...I hoped they would win and Fener also and then Pao with win against Alba is 95% top 4.
 
Zvezda without big player and Bartozkas plays Fall 4 minutes and Milutinov 8.... he always plays them 40 minutes combined. Idk, everything is weird about this game.
 
The only reason we are not destroyed already is that Monaco missed open shoots. We play like Efes this game, without game plan, without ball sharing, just selfish iso plays.

It was not weird, it was intentional. First game in Belgrade also, their brothers from Belgrade played without four or five players and result was the same, easy Red Star win. Every game matters, my ass, it's not true because first place on standings after regular season doesn't mean anything. Who care if some team is first or second, therefore, Olympiacos can choose against which teams they want to fight, and against which teams they want to rest, they chose to rest against they brothers from Belgrade. Shame on Euroleague! :confused:

Honestly, it was very suspicious game. 1st half was so funny, I don't remember Oly playing worse half like ever. Shots they missed...I mean it was horrific. Vezenkov missed like 3 layups completely alone, 2 free throws in a row, Fournier bricked every open 3pt shot, Milutinov and Fall didn't play, Peters missed few layups...

Mate, this system just doesn't work. Imagine last round, Panathinaikos with secured HCA. Will they even fight against Red Star? Red Star will fight because they need that win very badly. So, it's up to Panathinaikos to choose if they wanna fight or not. Bayern - Fenerbahce, the same. Fenerbahce with secured HCA and Bayern? Well, they must win that game. Why is the system so bad. Because, it doesn't matter if some team finished 1st or 2nd or 3rd or 4th, what matters is opponent in playoffs, and I imagine that some teams clearly want to play against Bayern and not against Real Madrid or they want to play against Red Star and not against Barcelona.

Yeah, but you have situations like these in every league. NBA had similar things last few seasons since they've invented play-in format. Even in the football Champions league this season you had the same thing. Panathinaikos in the last round will definitely go for the win. Ataman is different. Even in the Greek League he is not giving a lot of chance to Moraitis, Samodurov, Papapetrou unless it's 4th quarzer and we lead by 30 points...also he hates Zvezda. But as you said, a lot of depends about possible matchups. If we need to win against Zvezda to play against them in the 1/4 then we should go for it 100%. I would rather play them 10 out of 10 times instead Real or Barca.

I think Zvezda is definitely play-in team with this victory. Only if they lose against Real and Efes they might be in the problems. And very likely they will need to win in the Athens for the top 6.

Partizan vs Efes tomorrow is crucial game for Partizan and if Efes wins then they are in the great position.

Bayern missed huge chance today and their hopes for top 4 are finished. Panathinaikos is in the great chance for top 4 now and I would say we are 97% safe for the HCA. If Zvezda wins everything and they win by 5 points in OAKA and we lose against Maccabi in Belgrade or against Paris in OAKA then they are better than us. So we need to lose 2 games, one against Zvezda by 5 points and they need to win everything...Paris also need to win everything including the match in OAKA to better and they need to play against Zalgiris and Real also away. Barca also needs to win 5 out of 5 games (tough schedule) with Panathinaikos losing 2 games...Monaco might be better than us but that doesn't matter. I already counted win against Alba and after that we have 2 match points out of the 4 games without watching other results...and then playoffs and showtime starts.
 
Obviously it's still early to talk about combinations but if I can pick as Panathinaikos' fan I would like to play against Bayern in the playoffs. I think we have 2 special defenders in Grant and Kalaitzakis to slow down Edwards. In the paint they can't do a lot of damage especially if Lessort returns and Yurtseven with Gabriel/Pleiss is more than enough. In both games Nunn was doing whatever he wanted against their defense. Even Lucic can't do anything against Osman. Idk, I really don't see how they can beat us without shooting like 60% for the 3.

Almost same goes for Zvezda. Their guards are too small and slow(Teodosic) to keep Nunn and Sloukas on some decent numbers. Only reason why I would rather play Bayern than Zvezda is because of their home court and they also have few very experienced players. It would be tough to go with 1-1 in Belgrade.

Definitely I don't want to play against Real and Barca. But also not against Paris, even though I don't think they will be top 8 at the end. I don't want to go through the same emotions like last year against Maccabi. Fast pace teams like last year Maccabi, Paris and Barca this year are mismatch for Panathinaikos.

I hope Oly will play against Real. That would be beautiful to watch. Or against Partizan. Barcelona will be tough opponent to play against. If they start knocking shots it's not good for the opponent.
 
I don't think Oly threw the game. They were headless when Goss was injured vs PAO and blew a 19 point lead and almost the game. The same yesterday. Vildoza is truly useless. Oly were -29 with Luca on the court as opposed to +21 with Lee but he can't really organise as well as Walkup or Goss. Without those two Oly would not make through the P.O's. Bartzokas did play his bigs for 26 mins but they were ineffecitve against RS's small ball pace. Bartzokas commited the same cardinal sin in the Greek Cup and League game vs PAO not feeding his bigs.

Oly may have beaten PAO last week but Oly feel like they lost it especially being up 19 and Nunn, Sloukas having shitters and PAO playing mostly without a proper C. The game did more for PAO's confidence than Oly's.
 
Efes offense is rolling! 54 points in one half. Partizan defeds like shit and it lacks quality everywhere but still.
