EL 2023/24 - The Playoffs

Ok. So as it seems right now playoff matches will be:

PAO - Maccabi/Baskonia/Virtus
Barca - Oly
Monaco - Fener
Real against someone lol

If I have to pick I would want Virtus. Then Baskonia and the last one Maccabi. I think we have pretty nice chances against any team and should have 2-0 after 1st 2 games in OAKA and 3-1 should be for us against anyone.

About Oly...honestly I think their worst matchup is Barca. They should lose against Fener and pick Monaco. Barca has a lot of power, tough guys...they play slow, very mature team, a lot of guys that have been in this situation a lot of time and they would have homecourt....If they play against each other I can see Barca winning let say 3-1

For Fener - Monaco I think the same. Monaco is tough matchup for Fener. Fener can't slow them like Oly can. Barca would be better fit for Fener IMO and also you have Saras factor there. I would say Monaco wins this 3-2.

About Real I think Efes would be the worst for them. I can see Efes stealing game in the Madrid somehow. Baskonia maybe. Virtus and Maccabi(without homecourt) doesn't have a chance.

So F4 would be - Real&Barca and Panathinaikos&Monaco.

Final game Barca - Panathinaikos
7th Star is there, Hasta la Vista

I didn't misunderstand anything. I just think that all this has no meaning if, for example, Olympiacos loses to Fener. All scenarios will be different then.

Game between Olympiacos and Fenerbahce will be interesting. Will they choose losing that game and Monaco for their opponent in play offs or will they choose to fight for victory?

I pray for Virtus loss to Baskonia. Efes will win in BG.

Then in the shoot outs Virtus to beat Maccabi and advance to play Panathinaikos in the play offs. That match up for us would be like taking candy from a baby. Otherwise the match up with the Maccabi will be 60-40.

Easy win against bayern yesterday and PANATHINAIKOS ended 2nd, exactly where it should have been depending on the roster. The best coach in europe the last decade plus the 2nd best roster after real madrid.

People like paspalj who live on a different dimension (maybe cause of the time difference due to living for years in another continent and had zero knowledge of whats going on in europe) said that even playoffs would be success. Typical loser mentality, but luckily both DPG and ataman have winner's mentality and knew the strength of the team. There are 2 problems, cause balcerowski didnt mean expectations and lithuanian cyclist is not better than just being a rotation player on teams with ambitions. But both DPG and ataman know that and the team will get hezonja and another center on lessort's level to make the team even better.

But now we have the playoffs, which will be an easy task no matter the opponent. Strongest out of these teams is maccabi, but they are 2 levels below on terms of roster's quality and they dont have a home court. The 2 losses dont mean anything cause PANATHINAIKOS will have the full roster now and OAKA will be full and not empty just the first round cause of fears from many of a terrorist attack as an answer to the homocide by israelis in palestine. Worst case scenario is 3-1 in favor of PANATHINAIKOS and same applies for baskonia and virtus. Baskonia might be more dangerous for a match but a serious team cant lose 3 times from clowns like howard. Especially the best defensive team of the league.

The f4 is just 2 games, PANATHINAIKOS proved against the best 5 teams that when the referees are ok, then we are the best team of the league (+12 in spain, +11 against fener, + 8 against barcelona +25 against monaco). If things go normal and loserbiakos + fener get disqualified against monaco and barcelona who are both better in terms of roster quality and basketball they play then another invasion in germany is expected cause none between monaco,fibalona and real brings people to the f4, so many tickets available for greeks, from greece or from the hundred of thousands living in central europe.

Fener decline started with Kokoskov boy Pierre comeback and less role for Biberovic

5 players every team has! Fener has my glory boy WilbeKING and your 2 favourite players Madar and Pierre. But they still have 9 not good enough players for Monaco in my opinion. WilbeKING can't do everything. Same goes for Pierre and Madar. I know you think Fener should be at F4 with glue guy Mr.Triple double Pierre and wonderkind Madar because you adore them but I am not biased like you are. Ofc I wish you all the best so we can witness 2 more games at F4 of mine and your favourite players.

If I am being completely honest Fener has chance against Monaco with the lineup WilbeKING-Melih-Pierre-Sestina-Sanli. You have the best player in the EL at PG, probably the best shooter in the EL at SG that had been kicked out of the rotation just because Saras hates him, Pierre at 3 who might be the best 2-way player in the EL in your opinion, Sestina sniper who can bring muscles against J.Brown and Sanli who can stretch the floor and cover Monaco's p&r the best!

I think the conversation on possible playoff match-ups is inevitable from now on, so I thought we all could run our early speculations here. Later on, the play-in tournament and every playoff match-up will have their own threads.

37 old Teodosic is still one of the best point guards in EL. CZ lost every game when he was injured
My statement about best backcourt was when lineup included Shabazz-Teo-Nedovic-Yago
There are at least 5 CZ fans here who are active and no one react on that as insult, though some of them don't agree about Nedovic

I see you read my posts and you could at least notice that I don;t care if someone is injury prone or not. If some players is injury prone that means he give everything for the team and risk a lot. Melih for instance, who is targeted in your posts in similar way as Wilbekin was never injured

I can go further about some Pao players like Vildoza, I never said a word though I have high opinion about him. I am aware Pao fans have problem with him and I respect that
Only case when I reacted was on bashing Grigonis last year because he is realy good player and didn't deserve such insults.
