It's a loaded week with a few games that will directly impact the final standings for both the HCA & the play-in race.
The first game is tomorrow.
The first game is tomorrow.
Not a lot of people talk how bad season Lorenzo Brown has. 12pts while shooting 39%. 3 turnovers also per game and he plays for the team that has great offense. 33 yo, I think we saw his best performances and he might be gone in the summer. Maccabi needs to add one good defending guard/glue guy for the starting backcourt with Baldwin. Something like J.Grant. Bring better C and SF and with Baldwin/Colson and atmosphere in Menora that would be great team. I really don't want to play them in the playoffs. They seem to me as a huge mismatch for Panathinaikos. Would much rather play Barca honestly even though this might sounds crazy to someone...
also, what the heck happened to Pangos? He plays like I do after 1 bottle of Jack Daniels.
i wonder how much longer will the wrestling from loserbiakos be allowed from the refs. they are a disgrace to basketball. not even limoges was playing that hard and illegally due to the referees not giving 5 fouls in their first 5 attempts to defend. on the other hand their offensive game is based on fall's elbows. 32 points against the worst defense in the league (yeah partizan's defence is even worse than alba's or asvel's)
Olympiacos living in bro's head rent free![]()
Panathinaikos fans are really the unluckiest people ever. We just can't catch a break with the other results
Moustapha Fall was absolute tree stump today, but somehow Oly won the game.
Larentzakis was awful for the most of the game but the end he was crucial for Oly win.
I think we've caught a decent enough break. We're second and have focus solely on our game, expecting nothing from no one.
When we did? Lol
We lost literally every OT match in the world. We defeated Real in Madrid as the 1st team, boom, Fener does the same next week... now Partizan blew 14 points difference in the last quarter, Monaco makes comeback...we needed just one result to go in our favour and we would need 2 wins from 3 matches...now, with the defeat tomorrow we might even be out of top 6 at the end (not huge chances but stil...)
I agree that if you view it as "how will the other results relieve any effort I have to put in?" then yes we are unlucky. But I maintain that if you are the master of your fate then that's a lucky position to be in.
Anyway, Panathinaikos with the win tomorrow is 100% TOP5 if we count win against Alba last round in the OAKA.
I'm generally pretty measured in my expectations but if we win tomorrow then we should be 2nd. There is no excuse.
