23/2/23
Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Bayern
Milano vs Panathinaikos
Real Madrid vs Zalgiris Kaunas
Partizan vs Fenerbahce

24/2/23

Crvena Zvezda vs Alba Berlin
Lyon-Villeurbanne vs Anadolu Efes
Virtus Bologna vs Baskonia
Valencia vs Olympiacos
Barcelona vs Monaco

Chance for Zvezda to again be in the mix for playoffs. Alba was always an unsolvable enigma for Zvezda, but from this season things have changes so I belive in victory. Lazic and the rest of Zvezda's guard package could arrest ALBA players defensively. Great chance before Campazzo finally debuts:)

It looks to me that Itoudis has finally understood what to do with Calathes. ;)

His time has passed. Its so clear this season. He is the most overpaid player in Europe right now.

Yes, but Fener has now a chance using him like this. They could get much better defensive stopper for much less, but he at least is not hurting them in the clutch.

Fenerbahce is very limited offensively and has some weaknesses in the defense. It will reach the playoffs but not more.

Quality of Euroleague is pretty bad this year, anything can happen.

Maccabi manages to close the paint area in the last quarter beating Bayern. The defensive weaknesses are still evident but the players did their best, this time it proved to be sufficient for the victory. Bayern predictable expecting too much by Walden, not an inspiring season for Trinchieri.

Game lost by Villeurbane rather than won by Efes. Ataman played the classical larkinish game leaving him all the responsibilities of every offensive and sometimes even defensive action. It shouldn't have been successful but his opponent finished the game with three completely silly choices (2 offensive and 1 defensive), unbelievable.

Asvel played very good game and it was hard but deserved win for Efes. Seems that all teams give over 100% against Efes, but that's ok and fair

I like this expression:D That's what Efes is, pure Larkin, great player, the best in EL

Though I couldn't agree that Asvel lost the game rather then Efes won, cos what Clyburn did in last 5 seconds is pure brilliance, not luck or present from Asvel. De Colo isn't stupid player, in fact he is one of top3 players in EL regarding handling and keeping the ball

Indeed Clyburn was super there but after a timeout you can't commit a double turnover that way, it means there was something wrong regarding the coach's orders. But also the previous foul committed on Clyburn was very stupid, his court position was uncomfortable for the shot and the time attack was very close to expire, 1-2 seconds if I am not wrong. Finally, before that they threw away another offensive action making a hasty shot without reason.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer. Being a "defensive stopper" for the rest of this season in the hope of winning another ring is a worthwhile sacrifice, but it's not what he left Barcelona for.

Calathes is what he is, Bob is writing about him for years and it's all true, I never expected more then this from him

But, the real problem is high expectations from Willbekin from some guys(Gators has him as favorite player for instance:D)

Guy is lost in space, in good night he can make triples in a row, but except that he is EC level player who live from 2 crazy games in Dacka. Mediocre ball handling, character, court vision and awful defender

1 milion buyout and almost 2 milions salary could be noticed as one of the stupidest moves in EL history

Rest of the team is ok but we lack leader that obviously was intended for him. Big Itoudis's mistake, but regarding he was still CSKA's coach in that moment, maybe smart ass Gherardini brought him

I admit that I had overestimated wilbekin. The same mistake made by Sferopoulos, he trusted him too much. I think it was a team's choice, Itoudis wasn't much involved.
