Please!! Eric Gordon and Derick Rose are mediocre shooters, they are nailing it because there is no defense from Angola. US won't keep this percentages vs. Euro Teams.

LOL Eric Gordon and Mediocre shooter in the same sentence
:D:D:D:D:D hahahahahaha

in principle you are right, but thats not an excuse and the general expectation from young americans (considering he is young) to become a bit more world-aware if you know what i mean.. so thats what he meant i guess.. one has to open his eyes, no matter where you are..

Come on Turk, that is an easy mistake. I would have thought the same thing had I never visited Turkey. :)

Well, he is aware enough to know that Muslim countries generally forbid the use of alcohol. Plus, it's not as if people around the world screw up their "awareness" of America all the time, as well.

Somebody mentioned earlier something about topless beaches in Turkey also. If that's true, that's surprising to me given that Turkey is an overwhelming Muslim country (though moderate with a secular government) where presumably traditional values are still practiced in regards to women presenting themselves modestly. Ignorance is not always a product of lack of worldiness. Some details about a country, especially leisure activities like drinking or beach attire, are only exclusively known by the people who live or visit there. I don't expect every outsider that comes to the US to know about our customs and traditions despite what they see on MTV or CNN or read in a tourist guide.

So I just got another viewing of the game and I have to say......

- Chandler is really lucky to be on this team. He should not wear another USA jersey.

- Granger is the same; at least for now. If it weren't for the height issue I would've rather had another guard (Rondo) take his place here in Turkey.

- Westbrook + Love + Gordon on the court is actually a good idea. Mysteriously the lane opens up more.

- Gay is going to become a raging bull and start slaughtering opponents...very soon (prediction).

- My respect for Billups is higher than ever. I never liked him as an NBA or USA player, but he has been money this tourney.

- While trying not to over do it, Gomes is a solid player who uses the floor well. He is versitile and should have more teams knocking on his door soon.

- Fortes looks very promising and that cross-over step he did on Rose was sick (props to him). I think if Angola get continue to produce players like this they have a good chance to return to many Worlds and Olympics.

- Unfortunately to make up for our holes in the middle or open shots from our opponents we need to raise our D outside like we did throughout the game. Applying pressure by our guards, while sending a fast transitioner like Durant or Igua on top would raise hell. If done correctly and extensively, I think we can solve many D problems.

Yeah Tyson's been sucking all tournament, what's the dilly with that boy?!

He was similar in the FIBA Americas 07...But because he is part of the large USA roster pool he was the part of this back up team. If only Dwight Howard was here instead. :D
