Reigning champion should be automatically qualified for the next season and the other representative of the country of reigning champ should be the domestic champ or the runner up in case the domestic champ and easl champ is the same team, the competition in Bleague and KBL are much tougher compare to the other leagues, so i think it's harder for a team to repeat as champion or even as finalist

that is why having a 2 import flavored conference during the (each) season is really a must in preparation for all those EASL games.

we've already seen the disaster everytime a PHL club team competes in EASL and it's very obvious that team chemistry was so low when a new reinforcement will only play for a specific game(s).

merging those 2 reinforce conference is really a must, moving forward

if the excuses are more on the "financial thing" on each 12 PBA teams.

Well, I think they could save a lot if they could scrap all together that 3 conference format.

I ain't being pessimistic just being realistic if the PBA Grandpas still continues that "3 Con"

lopsided storyline will always be part everytime any PHL club team plays in EASL.

I have a feeling Meralco will enter final 4 in EASL.. I don't know with SMB...

i hope they get two very good imports maybe someone like Terrence Jones and Shabbaz Muhammad. the only problem i see with this is that theyre very ball dominant imports.

The issue again is based on that is happening , fans don't watch ELIMS games as much as playoffs. Unless you have data that contradict it

Sir Zai,

oh dear..

that is why my childhood memories during the 90's keeps on reviving on my subconscious.

Tanduay bannered by Alvarado, Menk and Hatfield

Sta. Lucia by Rob Parker, Kwan Johnson, Espino and Limpot

Mobiline of Asi, Seigle and the Jet

GSM of the Fast and the Furious, Aquino and the Tank

Purefoods of the Captain, Rey Evangelista, Codinera and Segova

Pop Cola of Boybits, Belasco, Ali Peek and Al Solis

SMB bannered by Rara, the Danny's and Abuda

Alaska of Johnny, Capt. Marbel, Jolas, Rodney and Poch

the bitter rivalries of Terq Mott vs. Devin Davies of that Dancing Cheek to Cheek sequence because both dudes doesn't allow each other to gain their respective sweet spot

Kenny Travis, Strothers vs The Hurricane rivalry

those are only the few.

with that mayabang Vince St. Price howling that Parker to Johnson alleeeyooop slam!! rings my bell in that jampacked Makati Sports Complex

that is why fans those days keeps on coming even during elims.

I said if before if only the Grandpas are visionaries during that time

the concept that was now being implemented by B. League on naturalized players....oh well you know what I mean

I agree rivalry sells thats why college games are pack house most of the time than professional leagues

BLeageu has a good rule in Naturalized but we have a better situation with our Fil Foreigners that Japan doesn't have

Sir Zai,

just for discussion sake, most of the time we can't help ourselves talking about past, I think it's a natural thing for a person to utter that.

I just wanna add on that "naturalization" and "visionaries" that I've mentioned.

issues about Fil-Sham during our younger days should already been address and resolve at that time

considering that those persons involved are willing to represent the country on any international tourney that time

like Alvarado, Parker, Harp, Chris Clay among others

Asi and Mick are one lucky dudes

I think there's a print, and tv interview that time putting those players on that spotlight about "national commitment."

that FIBA provision about strong domestic connection are already in that book

anyway, those pretending to be purist of the game and the so-called "Pinoy Pride" are surely against my statement

well, we all have our own respective opinions on every issues about Philippine Sports in general

for me I'm just being realistic and follows what's the wisdom in the playbook on each I.F.

Ange Kouame will be MERALCO's NP. He will play alongside Allen Durham and Suleiman Braimoh or another import.

Sir Ja,

were hopin' that this would be a prelude(?) for the PBA Grandpas to somehow update their jurassic old eligibility rules on who is Filipino

they are fully aware and they should be that the landscape are totally different nowadays and if they are hyping the coming 50th anniversary of that ill-fated league

and more innovations will be implemented soon(?) as per Grandpa Ricky's previous announcement during one of their media presscon

then AK34's case should be address ASAP

we've already discussed and tackled all the possible benefits, from the league's parity issues up to the Gilas issues on it's shaky frontline moving forward

sadly our domestic league and overall basketball culture of our stakeholders are already missed the bus of Asian basketball landscape

Did Nenad ever work with Ange?

Sir Sikatrix,

I think there's none

lately, while watching a few Meralco games of the on-going tourney

I've noticed that there's no CNV in the coaching staff row

i dunno if it is already confirm but according to some

he will be the one who be will coach the tall black this Nov. window

I stand to be corrected on this

thank you
