TNT's chances for getting playoffs in EASL is that they have to pray Anyang and Taipei will not reach 3 wins... Their only chance is to be tied with Anyang and Taipei both at 2-4 record... So far Anyang has good quotient than both TNT and Taipei...

Anyang ( + 29 )
TNT ( - 6 )
Taipei ( - 23 )

They need to pray Taipei beats Anyang at their home big time and TNT will beat Anyang big too to advance

Meanwhile Meralco has very big chance, Just win all games then they can advance... As of now they are 1-2 and chances are big...

Basically, TNT's EASL campaign is done. I don't think it's possible that Fubon (or TNT for that matter) beats Anyang.

Yeah... Just only mathematical chance for them... Although Anyang replaced Spellman, I don't know who is their replacement there... And their KBL campaign for now it's not good...

And their imports have played all 20 minutes so far.

Despite that the locals are quality...ah young jun is good and their guards are "poison", that point guard hit a three..

Jameel Warney 2 years from now will be an import for Ros and he will not last 4 games...

Sayang... Good entertaining game from both teams.

meralco chances to advance got slimmer.

Sucks for MERALCO. Man. They showed signs of being able to hang with powerhouse teams. Comeback ability doesn't hurt too.

Part of process shows you korean imports can be checked.. but once you checked the whole scheme of how kbl teams 9especially their local stars) do their thing.. higher chances of winning..

In terms of firepower and talent CBA teams are still par above current easl teams

But in terms of national team performance

Japan > Philippines > China > Korea >>>>>>> Taiwan…

So next EASL season, who will PBA bring to representing for EASL? The current Commissioner's cup finalist or All pinoy finalist? The only international tournament Gilas will play is the OQT, A short tourney unless Gilas makes into Olympics (5% chance only).. I guess no more excuses this time for Ginebra if they were pick to represent EASL this time…

It bothers me that Quincy Davis plays a local for New Taipei and they still have an "Asian" import in Hayden Blankley (Bay Area Dragons)... and despite two good imports in Anigue and Manigault... their best player hands down is a 35 year-old Jeremy Lin.

had lin play for asian tournaments he will easily be the best PG in Asia..

Either MERALCO or TNT could have used Kouame as a local.

The height limit that the PBA enforces on imports is a joke.

And not allowing naturalized players after allowing Tyler Tio, come on. Naturalized players are citizens, they should take up local spots, or at least a permanent roster spot.

I hope this EASL campaign makes the PBA introduce some changes. That "gold standard" comment by Ricky Vargas isn't holding up that well. If the gold standard of Philippine basketball is losing in continental matches, nako po.

Imagine if all these Africans studying here that can’t get a pro basketball job then the Indonesian Basketball League takes them… and they join the EASL then dominate a legit PBA title contender like Ginebra or SMB with 2 imports. I’m actually looking forward to the next Al Vergara or Rudy Lingganay, who’d rather play all over Southeast Asia than be that Php30K PBA player.
