East Asia Super League

Yeah, we can add Brownlee to that list of effective wings, too. Would have been great to see the core of JB, Malonzo, Scottie, Cstand, Japeth, Malonzo, Mariano, Pinto, Gray (knee injury sucks), and another 6'9"+ world import duking it out against other Asian pro league teams. I think it can even hold its own against a playoff CBA team.

plus with the arrival of Ahanmisi the guard sport of ginebra became deeper and may not be the youngest but it still has one of the deepest back court in the league, i hope he will commit in defense that way Sol Mercado did when he was still with ginebra

Ryukyu escapes SK Knights with a 1 point win, Chiba currently down by 13 at the half in Taipei, the Jets are missing 4 players including Ira Brown

Carl with 7 points on 3-7 shooting (0-2 3PT), 2 rebounds (1 offensive), 1 steal.

Juan GDL had a great 4th quarter by attacking the basket. Finished with 9 points on 3-11 shooting (0-7 3PT), 4 assists, 3 rebounds (1 offensive), 3 steals. Not bad for an EASL debut.

Is the serbian import that bad that Meralco opted for Ibeh..although not discounting the possibility that ibeh is much affordable

Ugly game from TNT. They miss RHJ this game. No Mikey and Pogoy hurts even more.

TNT lose to Chiba by 9. This was the kind of deficit I expected from them in Funabashi. Just bad endgame management from Jolas.

This is a good sign for TNT in the coming PBA season. They can compete. In terms of EASL, though, I think they're not going past the group stage. Too little talent, even with the imports, unless Oftana and Tungcab can build on their good showings tonight.

How many world imports did Chiba Jets field in this game? I counted at least 3. But maybe becoz Ira Brown being a Japanese naturalized player is not counted as a world import.

This is really an undermanned TNT team that faced one of strongest team in Japan's B-league. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was absent so as local players RR Pogoy, JP Erram & of course Mikey Williams.

Well, at least di natambakan ang TNT in this game.

Chiba fielded two world imports (Stephens and Mooney) and their NP, Ira Brown. Stephens, Mooney, and Togashi were really the catalysts.

RHJ could have been the equalizer. Shame he was sick. Get well soon. As for the missing locals, they're as good as gone for the EASL season.

The crowd attendance last night was embarrassing, especially for a so-called basketball nation, compare that to the game in Japan where it was almost sold out..

Chiba coach might have just low-key recommended these 2 to other B. League teams after seeing forst-hand how international fit they are.

This is perhaps the main reason why Ginebra withdrew from this year's EASL. Baka ma scout pa ng mga B-league & KBL players yung Gin Kings talent like Malonzo &Thompson & would be offered juicy contracts that SMC will find it hard to match.
