Hindi sila magkakampi ni Salah, sa Zhenshen Aviators si Li Muhao, Salah's team Liaoning is bracketed with TNT

ah I stand corrected, thanks man. Akala ko he still plays for the Leopards. It seems that they don't have a "big" import on their roster based on the east Asia league website.Instead they have Shabazz Muhammad and Pierre De Shawn who are both below 6'7.He has a 7'2 rookie teammate though in Zhao Yiming.Mas maganda gandang laban ito.

i think the terrific 12 should have gone the euroleague route by licensing ballclubs for a longterm. imagine if they give license to let's say:

LG Sakers
Hyundai Mobis Phoebus
Electroland Elephants

Chiba Jets
Alvark Tokyo
Tochigi Brex

Xianjiang Flying Tigers
Guangdong Southern Tigers
Liaoning Flying Leopards

Talk N Text Ka Tropa
San Miguel Beermen
Barangay Ginebra San Miguel

then expand to 16 teams with the remaining 4 leagues from other other leagues who have secured annual license.

SMC teams are only here to practice. Asia is not as integrated as Europe, where you can travel to every city by train or bus. FIBA Champions Cup pa nga lang pahirapan nang makabuo ng 8 teams eh (trans: East Asian ballclubs are still pretty much islands unto themselves)

i mean euroleague minus the home and away format. hehehe. i'm aware naman that logistics will be a heck of a problem for east asians and southeast asian teams unless you are in ABL. having long term licensed teams will help the stability of asia league.

having licensed teams means they need to participate in asia league annually.

I don' think SMC or any other PBA team for that matter will bind themselves to play in a Macau offseason tournament every year given the chaotic mess that is the PBA schedule. PBA should reform their schedule first to conform with the rest of the world.

It’s going to be a good gauge on where the pba is at in terms of competition in Asia. Personally I think the pba is up there.

Will this tournament be a good gauge considering that these Chinese, Korean & Japanese teams are just coming from their off-season? PBA teams on the other hand are still very much in the on-season mode.
