East Asia Super League

The services of terrence and jayson were missed. Even if Greg just showed up in practice that would be a big deal.

The two-import-per-team format of this tournament also doesn't serve as a true measure of strength of participating teams. From what I saw in the full game last night between the San Miguel-Shenzhen game, it was almost an all-import show (though Shenzhen only had one import) & more so with the TnT versus Liaoning highlights that I saw just a while ago. Then some teams are using this tournament as just a tune-up to prepare themselves for the upcoming season of their respective pro leagues.

I think the teams to beat in this tournament are the Korean & the Japanese teams. I don't really see these Chinese teams as real strong teams.

Just goes to show how deep SMB is. They are missing JMF, Lassitier , Cabagnot and Nabong but still won convincingly. They are way ahead in the PBA arms race while MVP teams for all their influence and deep pockets have been mediocre for quite some time now.

Well, SMB has two imports while Shenzhen only has one. I'm not really impressed with the way SMB played last night. That Shenzhen team isn't really that strong. It has a good import but I think the locals aren't that good. If it was a Korean team that SMB faced last night, most likely SMB would have lost.

Romeo was really good in scoring but as far as his orchestration is concerned, I'm not really impressed at all. Those one-on-one isolation plays & his tendency to over dribble is not really good to watch considering that he is playing as a point guard. Cabagnot is still on a different level in terms of orchestration & court savvy.
