Did you really delete the other WC Draw thread? There was 6 pages of info in there.
I put serious effort into laying out all the draw possiblites. Why?

I fancy Philippines to be grouped with Venezuela, Georgia and South Sudan

US national team coach Steve Kerr has initiated talks with three players (Jaren Jackson, Desmond Bane and Alex Caruso) to be included in Final 12. Informal talks with Embiid has so far promising but no commitment yet from the big man. Kerr even offered captainship to him but Embiid is more incline to play in 2024 Olympics but US has now the edge in getting his nod.

I fancy Kerr will make a phone call to Jalen Green. The youngster is popular in Philippines and he will draw crowds to US games. Green also played with US youth teams in three tournaments in the past. So international basketball FIBA rules wise he will be comfortable.

So far those reportedly who begged off or declined for Manila trip are LeBron, KD, Steph, Westbrook, CP3, Harden, Kawhi, Dame, Klay, Kyrie, Dray, Butler, Ant Davis and PG. Zion still on long- term rehab so count him out. Morant will be undergoing extensive couselling this coming off- season. In short USNT director Grant Hill will have his fingers full in calling players. This iteration of US team I believe will not be star-studded as their previous teams.

There is system error in this site... I don't know why....

Meanwhile Serbia gunner Bogdan Bogdanovic will play for Serbia this coming summer... Also Lauri Markannen also play for Finland....

Meanwhile Serbian gunner Bogdan Bogdanovic announced his participation on this year's FIBA WC....

That was never in question as long as he is healthy. Bogi and Joker (if he is able to play) gonna throw flames out there.

Like 2019? :D

In 2019. Jokić was playing PF or paired together with Raduljica and Marjanović while hanging in the corner. Not much to add there. By the way, Bogi was the best scorer in entire competition in 2019, so in a way, yes, just like 2019 ;)

2021 it was even worse when I remember back the game against Italy. The coaching stuff used him like a standard big, so 2019 didnt work and 2021 neither in a way. Lets wait for 2023...

The last convincing Serbian NT team that I can remember of is 2015. Cant say much about Eurobasket 2017 since there were many absentees but a guy like Milan Macvan such a glue guy has been missing since then.

Well... here is some of draw stuff over again then.
Note that all these assumptions are following the draw rules of the 2019 World Cup. FIBA has yet to announce the 2023 Draw Rules so perhaps it could look quite different.

Note the one change from the last time I posted this is that Latvia and Finland are no longer an option for Pot C - due to geographical balancing of Asia. Either NZL or IRN must be in this Pool (and away from AUS and PHI).

Once again - if you see any flaws in my logic here, please point it out.

2021? Are you thinking about OQT in Belgrade? Because neither one of them played in 2021. The last time Bogi and Jokić played together was in 2019.

Group B is a jackpot for any BB country...

No I tipped the wrong number I meant Eurobasket 2022 of course.

So, how was it not working then? In a game vs Italy Jokić dropped 32 in 28 minutes and Serbia was +12 with him on the court, and we lost by 8. Do the math, the reason why we failed to win is definitely not because of Jokić.

Oh I was just pointing out the outcome. It wasnt an attack on Jokic himself. I watched the last quarter 2-3 times and he was misused. It shouldnt be that difficult to extract his talent on FIBA level. A loss to a Italian team without a proper 5 is really not acceptable.

Italian team is not some amateurish team, they are good.

Jokić was not misused but rather underused. If your team is -20 in 12 minutes without Jokić, you should have played him few minutes more and secure the win. But nevertheless, that Serbian team wouldn't win anything because everyone was just thinking that Jokić alone was going to be enough.

Also when he was on the court, he should have got the ball literally every offensive possession. Underused is definitely correct but there should be ways to use him more as a creator rather than just a center under the rim, but maybe its due to lack of prep time.

Host's group will be worse than an European qualification group for a second straight tournament. Joke.
