Nemanja Bjelica came from Partizan school.Luka Bogdanovic also,Mirko Kovac also and some other players...

Nemanja Bjelica was kicked out as player with no talent when he was a cadet in Partizan.Luka Bogdanovic is a Red Star child .Mirko Kovac is terrible:DI am talking about current state of junior and cadet teams. FMP,Hemofarm and Red Star are on the top.

That would be awesome !!! Whats going on with AEK ? It used to be great team ?

Errmmmm, i am not sure even if we have a team anymore:D
Nothing special really i guess. Pao and Oly are dominating greek basketball and the rest of us are begging for the left overs:(. Nothing more i can really say. No one in Greece is erally investing on their teams as they will not get their money back. It is sad but true. Money wins trophies these days

Just PAO nad Oly ? Thats sad.Greece had the best league in Europe some time ago.

Yes, Serbia can dominate again. Now that they have this new talented generation they should use them to create a great chemistry and grow as a team. Taking again for the NT some players again will not help, i'm talking about Milicic, Rakocevic and other players that play for themselves more than for the team.

Let the kids grow and you will have a talented generation that will bring probably some titles, otherwise you will see more funny videos in Youtube starred by Darko Milicic and his funny comments about referees (or their families).

We had the greatest league only for a few years when we started "kidnapping" Yugoslav (all countries from Ex Yugoslavia) kids and getting them Greek passports to play as Greeks. All games used to be free on TV and then they started going to Pay-TV. Ticket prices also increased significantly. Also, teams like AEK stretched themselves financially spending too much money that they did not have and came close to bankrupsy. So most people except hard core fans have lost interest since. PAO use to get over 10000 fans in their games. Now they are lucky if they get half of that against a medium strength greek team.

Milicic is a dumbass :) :) :)

FMP Zeleznik has the best junior school in Serbia if not one of the best in europe they win all of the tournaments they play in and i think they ahve won the last 3 or 4 junior europleague titles and dont get me started with the fine batch of players they have produced over the years.

Ok thats true. They r young Euroleague champions ?

But overall Partizan produced better players in history.

They produced enough and they will produce more in the future .Thanks to them we are still very high on the FIBA rank list:cool:

So Pekovic,Tepic,Perovic etc came from famous Partizan school of basketball:rolleyes: I think credits for their development also should go to the clubs like:Vojvodina,KK Atlas,Beopetrol etc.

What about Diamantidis (Euroleague Defender of the year for 5 years in a row??? He has been repeatedly asked if he would consider the NBA, and he keeps saying No. He is happy at Panathinaikos. I would like to see more players ignoring the NBA and staying here.

He's too slow and not nearly athletic enough for the NBA to play as a point guard. He would be used as a Shane Battier or Bruce Bowen type of player by the coaches there. In Panathinaikos he is allowed to do and play however he wants to. He would be an idiot to go to the NBA.

Pekovic and Perovic became real players in Partizan. Tepic also improved his game in Partizan. Tnx Dule. Also over the years take a look what players Partizan had produced.

They all improved in Partizan but their most important development years were in those clubs.Pekovic and Tepic played senior seasons before they joined Partizan.

Papamakarios is also ignoring NBA.A huge loss for the american league i reckon.

Just to clarify, you greatly overrate the NBA. If you take the average NBA 6th man off an NBA playoff team and move him to the Euroleague - he will be an average starter probably for a good team at best case scenario.

The overrating of the NBA is absurd these days. They win the Olympics with their top level players and magically everyone forgets that they can't get better than a bronze at a big tournament even with using the 5th-15th best players in the NBA type of a team.

If the NBA sent even an all star type team to a big tournament they would not even medal. Yet supposedly other national teams are filled with "scrubs that can't play in the NBA". It's stupid and it's false.

The NBA has a SMALL NUMBER of elite players and outside of that the typical player is no better than the typical Euroleague player. People that say otherwise, whether European or American simply do not know basketball.

My last post primary concern was directed towards your statement where you refer to pavlovic and his playing time iwth Minnesota.
Pardon me if my way of expression was a bit blur in my post in that regard.

Regarding Darko, i generally agree with your comments.

By the way, I am lately sensing some form of fear in the forum concering Milicic rejoining the Serbian NT from users not being ethnic Serbs, by judging from numerous comments. Of course, Milicic's absence is being reflected as a generally highly positive thing for the Serbian NT, which in my honest opinion bears connotations with it.
