Well, really those results should be taken with more than a pinch of salt. There's an enormous gap of talent between Spain, Croatia, and the rest of the group. That said, if Spain beats Croatia by 30 points (quite unlikely, but if the croats take a page from everyone else's playbook and quit after the first quarter, it can happen) an absolutely ridiculous situation would come up where one team (Spain) has +150 basket average, while the rest of the group have a negative one. This aberration, more than being a testament of Spain's basketball level, should be blamed squarely on the tactics of the other teams. Seems like they would rather save their effort for a more winnable matchup, and just don't give a damn about being blown up by Spain's backups.
Really, really hoping Croatia will make a game out of it, even if it results on Spain losing. First place doesn't really seem that valuable, but a reality check will surely be.
