Day 3, Group D: UAE vs. Jordan

it's supposed to be ...
but the first quarter doesn't look like it.
foul trouble for jordan + bad defense + not too good on offense so far.

Jordanians are playing worse than Lebanon did in the first game.

I don't think this performance will continue though, Jordanians should concentrate better in the 2nd quarter off ... the game should be easy for them, but they gotta respect their opponent.

furious start by the jordanians in the 2nd q, 22 - 20 for Jordan now.

one thing i gotta respect the UAE for ... their teamwork. they have no star among their team, all 5 players play as 1 unit.

very impressive ... if their skills were much higher, their team could be doing much much better in this tournament.

thumbs up

man there's something weird about Jordanian defense .... it's not like man-to-man or zone defense.

i call it: kick-boxing defense .... they strike the opponent instead of defending them ... very aggressive, it kills the spirit of the game.

UAE has nothing to lose, they're playing without caring about the score ... yet, the jordanian defense pushed the UAE players temper to its limit, look at them, angry and almost want to fight :P

half time 40-29.

Rasheim Wright was unstoppable in transition just because UAE couldn't match his athleticism. For that matter UAE also can't defend the post.

end of the first half
jordan 40 uae 29

jordan is jerking off and over confident and not respecting uae..mario palma
will humilate the players during the break :D, never ever underestimate your opponent even if they are much weaker than u, and kodus to uae playing from their heart

well said,

if the UAE players had better scoring average, the end of 2nd Q would have still been for UAE side.

but, as sinobball said ... the UAE's aren't able to follow up with rashim wright's enthusiasm.

PS: why are jordanian players always angry or sort of? look at islam abbas and #13 .... they're always arguing and bragging about everything ... I thought this was Lebanon's Brian Beshara's job ... now they're way ahead :P Brian can no longer compete.

at least they broke the 38 pts margin this game ... and they're still hanging ...

PS: Jordanians are too bad on offense ... they always depend on scoring after a 2nd or a 3rd chance, especially under the basket. Such chances won't be happening against teams like Korea, Iran or China ... a 2nd chance would be rare.

Are you sure UAE is the same team that lost by 70 yesterday?:eek::eek:

47-56 after 3 quarters...

Go UAE make history please....

they're better on scoring that yesterday ...

but Jordan is weird ... very bad defense ... considering that UAE players are small in size, unexperience and weak on 3's .... (this proves that jordan is too bad on defense).

as for Jordan's offense ... as long as UAE keeps getting those rebounds ... Jordan always has problems scoring from the first attempt ... so all's good for UAE from that part.

well, we all know that uae will lose anyway and our team isnt playing serious too its a mental issue that happenes to alot of teams when they face weaker teams so iam not surprised

You can see UAE players really want to win this one...

They are great mid-range shooters off the dribble... but unfortunately has turnover problems... Jordan is now playing scared...

I hope UAE wins even though the chance is not big...

I guess this last basket secured Jordan's game ... unless some 2 successful attempts are scored by UAE directly ...
