come on, Nigeria plays for all Africans. Show some respect.

Nigeria has a chance for a win by +10

Stupid foul by Skinn

OK...Lithuania clearly let the clock run out to lose the game. So yes, they were trying to payback Venezuela. That's karma Musselman.

I dont understand why the speaker was so stunted. They didnt play for Venezouela.

Ahaha! Good one Lithuania. :D I'm not sure it was entirely to poke Venezuela though; I guess they just figured that they'd be first anyway and that Nigeria deserved their victory in any case.

I think it was definitely intentional. They called a timeout, then did it that way. So the coach planned it. Either way it is funny though. Venezuela was totally out of line with how they acted, so they got what they deserved. As I said, karma.

I don't know what went wrong today. I'll have to see the stat sheet. But backing into first place like that is an absolute embarassment. The only thing that can possibly make up for the performance today is an Olympic silver but how likely is that?

think about what you have just said...
it is +6 for Nigeria with 20 seconds to go... why on Earth would Lithuania foul if they are OK with a max 9 point loss... they are first anyway...
why foul and make it -8 with a chance to loose by 10+ and loose the first place...

Well, that settles it - now we're definitely the most hated team in Venezuela. They should have at least tried to win the game with 27 (or something) seconds left...

Oh, and congrats to stojanov8, this has to be his wet dream come true.

hmmm, does that mean if Macedonia plays Lithuania in the Semifinal that whole Venezuela will cheer for us? probably YES!!!

What are you talking about? They didn't foul so that the clock would run out...meaning Venezuela would be eliminated. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here. Anyway, if they did that on purpose I am totally fine with it and actually applaud it. I think Musselman and Vasquez and the whole Venezuelan team was a disgrace with how they acted. You are hosting a tournament like this and you act that way?

Musselman was an embarrassment and he got exactly what he deserved.

Well then the coach should be fined by FIBA and fired by the Lithuanian national team! No way you do that! No excuse.

yes we knew we can loss by 9 and still get the first spot,it was smart thinking not to foul at that moment! But we played awfull game, after win againt venezuela we undirestimate nigeria.Very strong and athletic team, and today they shoot 3pointer very well. They deserve to win Congratulation Nigeria.

The only good thing made Lithuania in this game was not making foul in the last possession. Risk to lose the first place, simply as that.

Now if Hugo Chávez want to send more tanks to LTU trainings he can do it. He's in his country.

Why? Venezuela tried to show up and embarrass all of Lithuanian basketball. I hope to never see Musselman again in any FIBA tournament. Do you actually think that the Lithuanian federation is OK with how Venezuela acted? I assure you they are not.

Why the f*ck we need to think about some Venezuela? C'mon, get real. We were just saving our asses to not be screwed at all and left 2nd in the group. With foul tactics even that could've happen. Venezuela has nothing to do with it
