What a huge upset this was.. No one except my friend Mohsena saw this coming. Well done Palestine and well deserved.

Watch out Phillipines, its time to bring your A game on the court, stop "holding those cards".

Hi behzadir. I don't think it was a case of "holding the cards", but more of succumbing to pressure of performing to expectations. Pinoy fans are irrational at most. But I know we can still recover. It's too early to call it quits.

In fairness to Palestine, they have players who know how to ball, that most Pinoys never knew of.

The thing is coach Tab warned that Philippines can't take any of the teams for granted... I just think Palestine wanted this win more than Philippines and they fought like warriors with their 7 man rotation never giving up even though at one point they were down by almost 20 points...

I never said it's about quitting, i meant every favored team like Iran,China and Philipines should take every single game seriously and never underestimate the opponent.

You tasted how it is when you take your opponent lightly, fortunately for the pinoys it wasn't in a dangerous phase.

Knowing Tab, he can turn even a group stage loss in the real thing into a learning experience for our team.

Correct. That's the lesson there.
To be honest with you, I really can't say that we should be favored in this tournament. If you only knew the turmoil we had in composing this team. But I will support them every step of the way.

Sakanini, Abu Shamala, Qahwash showed they could easily play for Gilas.. Huge upset is brewing here...

Only 7 players used and 3 players played the entire game for palestine

They don't have a deep team.. and that's why as the tournament progresses it will get tougher for them... good thing is that the next 2 games will be easier for them in the first round so hopefully they can give their other players a chance to play in these games

I think Philippines sold this game! Another tournament of circus under the guidance of FIBA! Hi, Afrobasket!

Why do you think so?

No, we went out and just lost this game, plain and simple. We should regroup and win big tomorrow.

Yes, they paid that Palestine player to make that crazy shots he did :D Stop looking for controversies around you. Such games happens, this summer alone we had atleast few of such and even more crazier like Venezuela beating Canada

Venezuela with NO NBA PLAYER ON THEIR TEAM beating Canada with NO LESS THAN NINE NBA PLAYERS ON THEIR TEAM.

Also, Spain struggling in the EuroBasket Group Stage and having to win a do-or-die game vs Germany just to enter the final round. Still won the European championship.
