Day 1, Group A: Philippines vs. Sri Lanka

  • Thread starter Thread starter PogiIT2
  • Start date Start date
why were the players from the 2007 RP team changed like jimmy alapag and caguoi ? they were more talented and had much more fire power and ur centers have awful bodies ...taulava looks fat and out of shape and japeth looks like he hasnt eaten in a month .....this rp team doesnt look good ...when i saw them in 2007 i thought that RP was on the rise by keeping the players they had but getting more fil-ams maybe tall 1s and naturalizing a center but RP has taken a step back from 2007 ...they were maybe the 5th or 6th best team in 2007 , now their definitely not top 8 and their maximum potentiol is maybe getting to the 1/8 finals definitely wont win the game there ......

It's called politics buddy. :D Also, Aguilar is a young kid. He's only 22 so he'll eventually develop in years to come. I also thought that the Philippines was a top 4 team back in 07. It just happened that the team had to play against contending teams such as Jordan and Iran.

Yeah, a win is a win. I don't think the Philippines needs to take this game seriously at all.

Sri Lanka was just scouting RP Team...Sri Lanka will sweep Japan and Korea :D

if you will say we played bad today, you definitely have no basketball IQ. the only time rp played bad in this game was 2nd quarter... did you see how they moved in the 1st quarter? i saw more movements... the reason we played bad in 2nd quarter was we became complacent a bit, and yeng guiao pulled his starting 5 players one by one... for some people here stop being so fucking genius... this is definitely a confidence booster for our team! Go RP!

They got a pretty good warm up game, can't wait for tomorrow's game against Japan... Can't also wait to see James Yap play! He will play with Cory's message, "Play for flag."

Upnext: Kazakhstan VS Qatar...

im hunderd percentile sure even my varsity team can beat the Sri lankan team..not ven bragging but they are not Asian championship material..

They should only stay in cricket..... even our collegiate teams would massacre them

we will see, we will see... right now, let us pinoys worry this. for you guys, you need to worry jordan later and how you will build chemistry with your new players, and its not going to be that easy as what majority of you guys think... don't be too overconfident. your fate in this tournament will largely be determined in your game later...you should worry that! what if you enter quarterfinals and face iran? see what i mean? you may have the best players in paper but you belong in a tough group...

LOL my fucking high school team probably would have beaten Sri Lanka, least they got some experience
