Funny thing is that there are more Turks living in Istanbul, geographically Europe, than all Greeks in Greece, or for that matter same thing could be said for a lot of other Europe countries.

But, with no disrespect to Turks, I think that except geographical, because of that little part of land, in both cultural or national matter, Turks could not be really counted like a part of Europe, they way more belong to Asia in almost every way.

that's a simple, bitter part of truth.

This will end. eventually.

Well, not entirely true
Izmir is by far the most modern city of the country, and it lies in Asia

i mentioned izmir and it's vicinites in that post. does not lie in europe but most european by far.

this was the last post of me about this off topic

More like Asia? I'd like to know in which aspects then

If you say something like that, motivate it

I see Izmir as a europeancity ,( if i couldn't state myself well enough.)

I was talking to that Slovenian guy
He seems to know more about Turkey than I do..

But this is my last off topic post as well... As far as you can stay on topic in this ridiculous thread :D

turkish civilization has nothing to do with european civilization this is a fact nothing to provoke. muslim religion and asian cultural characteristics are not what we called europe......and the conquest of european lands don't change this ...marocco,or algeria maybe is more "europe"than turkey is...
of course common cultural characteristics do exist all over the countries since globalization dominates the world
i am surprise you are feeling like this!

Hey I like this topic! I went looking for pictures of dead donkeys and look at the picture I found:

Dear Danny,

I am European all my life and I know.

The Greeks do know the problem but have no money to buy anything.
The Russians, Lithuanians, Yugoslavians, they already using one made by DACIA.
The French are well known...
The Turkish men are too macho, the only true men on the planet (with some Uzbek as well). Stuff like that are for sissies.
The Spanish eating too much chorizo with garlic. This stuff is so strong to overpower even their deodorant made in the mighty US.
The Italians are not in the WC

thanks

irrelevant

I dont get it why being european is "good" and asian "bad"...anyways... Some parts of Turkey i guess have a greater european influence than other...

indeed...although some stodgy guys would say that the only connection that can see between europe and turks is that turks have killed many europeans:rolleyes:

I don't understand why you're getting upset? Turkey geographically is not in Europe, so Turks aren't Europeans. Or do you think they are?

I don't give a f**k about being european

anyway i think turks nowdays have little common things to turks of the past...especially turks of the west have common cultural things to us..they are good guys...

Have you noticed, that people are still smelling bad. all the denouncement had absolutely no effect. parents and counsellors constantly scorn them. but people are still smelling bad and nothing seems to stop them.

nutritition (food here is spicy) ,anatomy , the weather, the humidity , the frequency of having a shower -> Contrubiting factors , he has a point but his manner of telling that is rude. And people are so swift to take offense - especially in turkey -

What you say is true. And I'd also like (well, in fact, I'd hate it) smelling his room in the morning..... puajjjjj......

Turkey is nice, modern country..I was suprised when I saw what they build in 10 years...

ufff..... where I live there are lots and lots and lots and lots and.... of moroccan people, and they don't have nothing in common with europe. And think they are living here.

because you see poor morrocans that emigrate to spain in order to survive...i always talking about people who do have money...almost every muslim country has a large minority that wears european clothes listen to european songs and live with the european way of life(except the religion)..i am talking about them

Well as far as I know Turkey is partly in Europe, but the biggest part of Turkey is in Asia and also Turkey's capital Ankara is in Asia. Culturally Turkey is much different that Europe so most people don't think Turkey is an European country. Well, if you want my opinion:

Geographicaly: partly
Cultural: nope

No offense. I know this is some very sensitive stuff and most people get upset discussing this topic. I'm sensitive too if someone talks shit about Slovenia :D
