China considers recognizing dual nationality

The state Department of Human Resources and Social Security Vice Minister Wang Xiaoping said early, relevant departments are studying carefully the "dual" problem.
Wang was in answer to CCTV host Rui about how to look at emigration problems which emerged in recent years and made such remarks. He said the issue of "dual nationality" is a sensitive issue, but according to his understanding, relevant department is studying carefully and may be about to recognize dual nationality.

i really dont think china would ever do dual nationality. it's already even very tricky for foreigners to get a chinese passport if they so choose to get a chinese passport.

also the hukou (residency permit) system is jsut plain messed up and in my eyes still stuck in a feudalistic form of doing things. if this gets fixed then china could consider doing a dual nationality but for the time being it woulnt work.
