Attendance and season tickets of the 08-09 season so far can be found here (not official). In short:

the playoffs are realy soon and we are in for some great match-ups.

Suprised to see Maccabi lose Game 1 :eek:

They have a chance of redemption today in Game 2.
 
some opinion about today match between ironi and maccabi? Will Ironi play as good as in first match and grab a win?Or Maccabi will win easly on 2 digits?

With the way Maccabi looks - everything is possible. :(
But I think Maccabi will win. But, by a small gap.
Actually, if Maccabi loses the title this season - there will be 2 Israeli representatives in the EL.

Well, if I read the situation correctly. Jordi Bertomeu has said that the champions of the top 12 nations will take part in the next year. Israel ranked 6th or 7th.

"We will announce that the Euroleague will be a new Euroleague starting the new season, which will be more open, more countries and more teams will be able to participate in our league. We will guarantee the presence of the champions of each national competition at least the most important in Europe."


BTW, Maccabi has beaten Ashkelon in the 2nd game - by near 20 points.

I think you are wrong. this is a very good overview about the new qualifiacation system. as you can see, Israel champion (that is not Maccabi) is only 28# in the B-license ranking, so even in theory Israel champion (that is not Maccabi) can't get even to the Euroleague qualification round.
This qualifiaction system is valid for the next 3 years, so I guess this situation will change if one of two things will happen:
1. Israel will go foward in the B-license ranking in the next 3 years.
2. The Euroleague commite will change the Euroleague qualification system in another 3 years.
